I got out on the AiPAS Ebike for a ride on the Third Creek Greenway. I got onto the Greenway by Tyson Park. I rode West and stopped by the Sequoyah Hills area. I turned around and rode back through Third Creek down to the Neyland Greenway. Then rode back to the Tyson Park area and headed back home. I stopped at Knox Walls at Emory Place on the way home.

This picture was shot on a tripod with three exposures (-2..0..+2..EV). I used Photomatix to create the HDR with tone mapping and detail enhanced. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. 1 layer mask to increase color and contrast for the sky and Mount St. Helens. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Used Nik Sharpener Pro to sharpen image.
Today marks the 30th Anniversary of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens in Washington State. The eruption on May 18, 1980, killed dozens of people and changed the landscape with its 24-megaton blast. And here it is, after its eruption almost** 30 years ago. This is one of the many views you can get from up on Oregon Health & Science University campus on Marquam Hill. This is another view panning my camera to the left zoomed in. Presented in full HDR!
**I shot this 10 days ago. I don't think I can see Mt. St. Helens today from here.

- www.kevin-palmer.com - Early in the morning a very active lightning storm passed by north of Peoria. An overlook on Grandview Drive was the perfect place to watch it approach. The overlook sits on a bluff 300 feet above the Illinois River. This is the part of the river where it widens and forms Peoria Lake. It was raining heavily with plenty of lightning bolts striking on the opposite side of the river. But from where I was it stayed dry enough to take over 400 pictures. Most of them are for a time lapse video, which I will upload soon.

Testing out the CPL when i first got it back in Autumn... Blue and yellow always out on a good show...
A polarizing filter, used for both color and black-and-white photography, is colourless and does not affect colour balance, but filters out light with a particular direction of polarisation. This reduces oblique reflections from non-metallic surfaces, can darken the sky in colour photography (in monochrome photography colour filters are more effective), and can saturate the image more by eliminating unwanted reflections.
For non-default body shapes, you may have to alpha out some body parts for the clothes to fit.

Kansas City (abbreviated KC or KCMO) is the largest city in Missouri by population and area. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 508,090 in 2020, making it the 36th most-populous city in the United States. It is the most populated municipality and historic core city of the Kansas City metropolitan area, which straddles the Kansas–Missouri state line and has a population of 2,392,035. Most of the city lies within Jackson County, with portions spilling into Clay, Cass, and Platte counties. Kansas City was founded in the 1830s as a port on the Missouri River at its confluence with the Kansas River coming in from the west. On June 1, 1850, the town of Kansas was incorporated; shortly after came the establishment of the Kansas Territory. Confusion between the two ensued, and the name Kansas City was assigned to distinguish them soon after.
Sitting on Missouri's western boundary with Kansas, with Downtown near the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, the city encompasses about 319.03 square miles (826.3 km2), making it the 23rd largest city by total area in the United States. It serves as one of the two county seats of Jackson County, along with the major suburb of Independence. The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is a performing arts center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, USA, at 16th and Broadway, near the Power & Light District, the T-Mobile Center and the Crossroads Arts District. Its construction was a major part of the ongoing redevelopment of downtown Kansas City.
The Center was created as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Unlike some other major civic construction projects, no taxpayer funds went into its construction. The City of Kansas City contributed to and operates a parking garage adjacent to the Kauffman Center.
It is the performance home to the Kansas City Symphony, the Lyric Opera of Kansas City, and the Kansas City Ballet which in the past performed at the Lyric Theatre, eight blocks north of the center. The Kauffman Center houses two unique performance venues: Muriel Kauffman Theatre and Helzberg Hall.
According to its website, the Kauffman Center's mission is "to enrich the lives of communities throughout the region, country and world by offering extraordinary and diverse performing arts experiences". Not only do notable performances take place almost weekly, but the Center is a place where the KC community comes together and celebrates the city's rich arts culture. They run from the northwest of Kiyomizu temple to the halfway point of Kiyomizu-zaka approach.
The total length of them is about 400 meters.
They are gentle and narrow sloping roads with flagstones and stone steps.
Along the streets, ther are many souvenir shops, the shops of kiyomizu-ware (a pottery created around Kiyomizu temple), tea houses and Japanese restaurants.
The streets has a Kyoto's unique atmosphere, so there is an endless stream of visitors.
"Ninen-zaka" means "slope of two years", and "San'nen-zaka" means "slope of three years".
It is said that you will die within two years when you fall down on Ninen-zaka and you will die within three years when you fall down on San'nen-zaka.
Please be careful not to fall down here.
Additionary, the different kanji characters of San'nen-zaka (the parenthetic characters above) have a meaning as "slope to pray for a safe delivery".
産寧坂（さんねいざか）は京都市にある坂。三年坂（さんねんざか）とも呼ばれる。 東山の観光地として有名である。狭義には音羽山清水寺の参道である清水坂から北へ石段で降りる坂道をいうが、公式には北に二年坂までの緩い起伏の石畳の道も含む。
二年坂を介して北にある八坂神社、円山公園、高台寺、法観寺（八坂の塔）と南にある清水寺を結んでいるため、観光客が絶えない。沿道は土産物店、陶磁器店、料亭などが並ぶ。文化財保護法に基づき重要伝統的建造物群保存地区として選定されている。幕末の明保野亭事件の舞台である。
「産寧坂」の語源には諸説あり、この坂の上の清水寺にある子安観音へ「お産が寧か（やすらか）でありますように」と祈願するために登る坂であることから「産寧坂」と呼ばれるようになったという説が有力だが、一方で清水寺に参拝した人がこの坂道を通る際に念願を強くし、願いが叶ったあとで観音様への御礼に再度お参りする時に通る坂であることから「再念坂」と呼ぶようになったという説もある。
同名異字の「三年坂」で転ぶと、三年以内に死ぬ。また転べば三年の寿命が縮まると伝記が三年坂通りのある和歌山市で有名であるが、直接関係あるのかは不明である。
若想盡情享受京都風趣，絕不可錯過京都散步小徑的代表－「産寧坂」。小徑上林立著京都料理餐廳、古道具店、京都特產店及充滿古樸氣息的各式精品店，在這46段十分古典的石頭街道上熱鬧而自然，還有莊嚴穩重的古宅邸參雜其中，增加了遊覽産寧坂的樂趣，這個著名的傳統建造物保存地區，也成為歷史古都的另一種風景。
在多條小徑中，「清水坂」是通往清水寺的主要道路；而「産寧坂」則是由山下連接到「清水坂」的街道。順便一提的是，由産寧坂通往圓山公園的街道稱為「二年坡」，通到下河原的則稱為「一念坂」，每條街道皆具有自己的獨特風味。
産寧坂中的「青龍苑」，聚集了醬菜及香的專賣店、咖啡店等，多為代表京都的名店。由於位在京都皇宮的東方，因「掌管東方的四神青龍」而得名。青龍苑佔地6,600平方公尺，本來是幕府時代末期，有志之士群聚的日本料理店「明保野」。園內有日本大正時代初期建設的日本料理店「阪口」以及日式庭園，另外也新建了京町家、數寄屋、登合掌造等日式建築，與日本料理店及日本庭園融為一體，在園內可自由散步，感受古都獨有的靜謐氣息。
「産寧坂」又稱「三年坡」。有關「産寧坂」名稱的由來有許多的說法，如今大多數人的說法，是因該街通往祈求生產平安的廟宇「子安塔」，所以稱産寧坂。「產」意為生產，「寧」意指容易。據說在8世紀(清水寺尚未創建之前)，聖武天皇及光明皇后在此祈求生產順利，在平安生下孝謙天皇後，於泰産寺立下子安塔。從此，子安塔成為孕婦祈求順利生產的塔，民眾虔信不疑。也有一說指坂上田村麻呂於808年(日本大同3年)開闢的街道，因此稱為「三年坡」。
産寧坂歷史悠久，可回溯至日本平安都城之前，以坐落於清水寺、法觀寺及祗園社(八坂神社)等名剎附近的街道為起源。日本江戶時代(1603年~1867年)之後，這些廟宇周邊的街道逐漸形成市區，至今仍可在産寧坂下面看到幾間獨特的居家「京町家」，堪稱京都代表。到了日本明治及大正時代市區擴大，大部分的建物是明治以後所建，逐漸形成今日所見的繁榮景象。
