Completely remodeled, fucking sweet kitchen.

House #17

Black laminate flooring. We'd have to tile at some point. Purple wallpaper and a border. Good times. But the vanity is very tall, which is good for Husband. It comes up to about my shoulders though.

Just below the tower room.

Metered off the window and exposed manually at widest aperture. Forced the flash to fire.

Processed in Photoshop Elements - adjusted the levels in two layers to brighten the interior without affecting the window.

This used to house a small airplane. We knew going in that House 2 would be a mess. It is the same price as House 1, but has 2100 sq.ft. I thought it could be a fixer-upper. But we ruled it out over dinner. The homeowners were here while the agent showed the property. I think they were high.

A over a glass of lime/ginger ice tea.

Everything packs up into the wooden trunk at the right, swathed in the silk bags layered as altar cloths. Two small wooden boxes stack behind the figure, one holding incense cones and sticks, the other a wish box. The screen is a card received one Christmas from a friend studying in Wales.

The very first open house we went to. Updated floors (Pergo?) were nice. Problems were an outdated kitchen, only one bath which was on the second floor, possible big problems with the basement. This place was a block away from Washington Park, on Park St., and was surrounded by nice homes. Listed for about $120k, someone with extra cash and time could go in, renovate, and sell it for $160k probably.

Has washer/dryer hookups to the right of that sink. It's pretty big for a utility room. I suppose we could always build some big storage shelves and keep a lot of stuff in there that we don't have room for in the bedroom closets.

Also, omg the kegs we could fit in here!! Or perhaps an art room?

The house is L-shaped, and the part at frame left forms northern boundary of the courtyard. The other part of the L, with the stairwell-tower, is directly ahead. It forms the eastern boundary. The southern boundary is the three-car garage just out of frame at camera right.

The camera is looking south-east ish onto the development's open space. From the other side, looking north-east ish, there's a terrific water view.

On camera flash just didn't have the oomph to light the interior.

Big, deep tub and shower stall.

Looked at a couple of houses. This one was AMAZING...but also looked like it needed a bunch of work to get it fully live-inable, and the neighborhood was not the best. But man, it was pretty, and lots of space to enjoy.

The second one turned out to be a really cheap and shoddy house flip. We thought it'd have enough space with the basement, but the basement was... bad. I'd have to crouch to go in there.

The toilet and tub are pink. Just like almost all the carpeting in this house. Every single bit of flooring would have to be replaced before I moved in here.
