On days like these I need a drink ... a hot chocolate

Marshmallow snowman In hot chocolate.

Nothing like some hot chocolate, cookies, and a favorite book on a cold day.

Brought my camera on the Friday walk with the students. It's lovely to end the week in the forest together, drinking hot chocolate ツ

Since I can't show you the charming portraits I shot of them, I photographed one student's cute lunch box instead ツ

I've been searching for peeps since the day after Valentines Day, but they've been hiding or the peep trucks got hijacked or something. But then I finally discovered them in Barrhaven on Friday (before the massive storm). Since then I've found a number of tasty ways of eating them. The hot chocolate way is good, toasting them in a fire is also very excellent.

On Tuesday, I blogged over at Mortal Muses about Macro photography. You can check out my post over here:

have a wonderful weekend everyone!

For some reason, I prefer to drink cocoa in a bowl. It just tastes better. Plus, you can adhere to the mexican tradition of dunking cinnamon pastries into it. This, however, was peppermint cocoa. Oh so delish. Instead of powder, the cocoa is tiny shards of chocolate.

I entered this in the 2007 Cookie Decorating Contest sponsored by Wilton. It's a big cookie covered with fondant. Everything else is fondant including the little cookies!

Mister Marshmallow nearly dissolved in perfect bliss into a mug of delicious Swiss Miss mint hot chocolate. then I removed his face for fear of ingesting ink.
