SelfCritique: Better placement of baked goods! An actual solid white background and not paper towels (Improvised! I'm quite proud here)

Eiko made Ricotta cheese from milk and lemon juice. It was simple to do and delicious, but the yield was really low (about a palmful of cheese from 2 liters of milk).
Any suggestions?
We bake our own bread. Well, 'we' is usually 'I' , but I've taught E a lot of the steps, so he can step in if I can't do a part of the process.
It takes 8-9 hours in total, depending on rising time/humidity/magical bread science I don't understand yet, but since 6 or 7 of that is rise time, it doesn't really chain me to the stove. And it's really, really good, if I may say so.
so pleased with my first attempt at soap making for christmas presents

Ridonkulously easy! Thin-cut pork loin, scored, salted and peppered, dipped in egg and panko, and fried until golden brown.
The sauce: 4 tablespoons Worchestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons ketchup, and 1 teaspoon soy sauce (I use Bragg's instead).
(Adapted from "Best-Ever Recipes: Japanese and Sushi" by Hermes House, which makes some of my favorite cookbooks).
I wasn't about to shell out $4 for some cream based sauce the owner recommended to pair with my "Korean Short Rib raviolis", so I made my own. I was walking back with my purchase when I thought... "Gee.... wouldn't a nice hoisin glaze go well with shortribs in general?" I had some hoisin lying around, and of course for some extra sweetness and texture, some caramelized onions are always nice... so I did that, added some chopped garlic, hoisin, and EVOO and caramelized it all. It turned out Fantastically!

Bio and Artist Statement
Derse was born in Heidelberg, Germany and grew up in Sylvania, Ohio as one of four girls. “The sound of the sewing machine saturated the house and I would watch my mother out of the corner of my eye while she fashioned new clothes for us. I would sit near her table coloring from the large box of crayons or cutting paper into the shapes of the perfect outfits I was hoping for.”
She now creates lines of fabrics that begin with a blank canvas: a bolt of muslin, fabric dyes, and the primary colors in silkscreen paints. “I draw my palette from the seasons or my travels. Each new texture is something tactile found in my environment. Anything that catches my eye outdoors or in my studio becomes an artist’s tool: pine cones, spoons, brushes, homemade stamps and bamboo pens.”
She has designed 11 collections with more to come in the fall of 2013. The Gerta collection was the first, and the other collections include Stream Line, Third in Line, Shoreline, Line 5, Nouveau Chic, Necessities, Lines, Petites, Modern Textures and Basketweave.
my goal was to make sorbet using a fruit that i wouldn't find from a mass-manufactured sorbet ("something that haagen dasz would not make," even though I generally like haagen dasz sorbet and ice creams).
puree some cubed cantaloupe in a blender/food processor. mix some simple syrup (I used very little) into the mixture, add a splash of lime juice and mix. Stick in freezer, stirring occasionally, until almost frozen. I froze it overnight and the thing became a BLOCK. So I set it out on the counter for an hour until it softened a bit and I stirred it again.
Then stick in the food processor/blender again until it is "fluffy." Put in a container and stick it in the freezer until it firms up a bit, about 1-3 hours. Voila! A very healthy, refreshing cantaloupe sorbet.

I didn't make the cuffs smaller on this one and good thing too because they were already tight! I think Kailey might have to use these.
