No Spring flowers around here yet - we actually got a taste of winter with a little snow and cold temperatures! So I got this tiny flower pot at the store yesterday with four crocuses in it!! ;-)

once more in the studio, a beautiful Scottish collie that doesn't always want to be in front of the camera, but always a sweetheart and always good-looking.
Certainly, out my norm for Flickr but as mentioned, I am learning how to shape light in my studio and pushing my interest into human photography. A friend of mine was helping with some changes in my studio and I was able to convince him to sit for 10 minute in a chair.
This was shot with a single Einstein light on a boom arm with a snoot to shape the light into a concentrated beam to offer more darkness than light simply for a dramatic effect. This image was inspired by a recent promo cut from Bray Wyatt on WWE.
I do not know how long I will keep this image posted. This is not likely to appeal to most of my Photostream friends because it is a huge step away from my previous image makings. I will remove it if it’s not received well.
I am seriously considering on just saving human photography to a new dedicated Flickr Photostream. Do not feel obligated to comment or fav but I encourage those to interact if they are pleased with the image. Again, this is simply experimentation and I am a rookie in this type of work.

Strobist: Killed the ambient and used only one SB-800 in a shoot through umbrella as key. That kept my light nice and soft, and without too much spill onto my blue-blanket backdrop. Light was camera L and high. Post-processing in Adobe Lightroom.

Shot using two Elinchrom studio lights and a set of x-mas lights in the background about 12 feet from the subject using a 105mm f2.8 lens.
if I try to play this, your better off looking then listening.
home studio shot of the six strings on a guitar.
Wishing peace, love, good health and prosperity to all my Flickr friends, whether I have known you for over a dozen years or starting today. May the Spirit watch over you always.
Se trata de una cafetera de presión, que disponía de una entrada de agua y otra de cable eléctrico. Estimo que data del S. XIX.
In this image I wanted to show the translucent qualities of the shell by back lighting it. I placed a YN560-III in a Rogue grid behind the shell at camera left for back lighting. Fill lighting came from a another YN560-III in a 24 inch soft box at camera left and a small mirror at camera right. The strobes, in manual mode, were triggered by a Yongnuo RF-603N.
Other images I've taken of sea shell can be seen in my Shell album, if you like that sort of thing.
Today my daughter was playing Guitar Hero live and I was playing with the smoke so we together made a live show at home :)
She said that was feeling like on stage
I made this shot for a friend of my work. Her daughter has a little princess she brought to my work. We did quick shots in a free office. She was siiting on a desk...
I used a simple Yongnuo strobe on the hotshoe in manual mode.
Then I made post-processing because the background was really bad.
In photoshop I did the following steps :
- I cut the body from the original background.
- I made frequency separation to improve the face.
- I use also Topaz Grunge light effect to improve the effect on the dress.
- I did some dodge (no burn) on the face.
- I finally add a background made with Topaz Texture from a white layer.
- Among all small other modification, I notably add a small blur on the foreground.
- And I forgot to mention I add a shadow on the background to make a kind of 3D effect.
My husband helped me build a basic frame for a background today. Now I just have to figure out the easiest lighting I can use. I saw some links for the DIY project on one of the groups.
