This shows I need now to work on more DOF while maintaining the right light balance ... again, this is where the tent and exterior lights would far surpass this setup. Of course, that's at least $100 or $200 and this setup (not counting strobe lights) was under $10. See previous posts for an explanation of the new home-studio setup.

I have been cleaning fountain pens for the past two days, so this Mont Blanc ink became the photo subject.
Testing a larger item. My old clamshell laptop. LARGE Letting a little grayness back into the image for context.
Studio was moved to the rehearsal room to finish our CD.. Now she is all back home and ready to rock. yeah 2 drum sets for 2 bands.
strobist: Canon 430EXII 1/2 power shot through softbox camera high center/ left. TT560 Speedlight 1/2 power shot through soft box over head.
430EXII fired through brolly umbrella at camera right @1/4 power, angled down. Silver reflector on Zoe's lap under Aiden.
Strobist info: sb25 bounced out of an umbrella at 1/2 power from 3 1/2 feet away via a cactus v2s trigger, and a minolta 4000 af program on manual fired against a curved white backdrop (piece of card) from above and slightly behind. approx. 3' from the subject fired by optical slave trigger.
Shot with a sigma 24-70 f2.8 ex dg.
