Ingredients: Chinese sausage (two varieties: pork sausage, and pork and liver sausage), shrimps, water chestnut, eggs. Sticky rice has to be steamed and washed the night before so it will be soft, translucent, but not too sticky.
Week 3 of our new Keto diet, showing how we are trying to get the balance right. Two meals a day, first about noon to 1 pm, last about 6-7 pm, giving a period of approx 16 hours during which the body has a chance to utilise existing fats within the body. They call it intermittent fasting, we call it less cooking and dishes to wash and more time for important things :-)
I made chili with ground turkey, stewed tomatoes, hot peppers, tomato puree, tomato paste, spring onions, dark red kidney beans, and thin sliced flank steak. I topped it with cheese.
Made this with the assam laksa paste from Penang. Topped with a little of the bunga kantan (torch ginger).
We didn't watch the super bowl, but I felt compelled to make a special meal all the same, hence my quickie pasta bolognese. (I didn't have the patience to let the sauce simmer for hours, though I'm sure it would've been much better if I had.)

This is from a friend's recipe. It is a Sri Lankan dish and makes good use of the sweetness of the beetroot in this warm curry dish..
We made eclares...this we made in the States. We don't have an oven yet here.
There's actually custard under that whipped cream, but I'm afraid I went a li~ttle overboard with the white fluffy whipped cream. ( ^_~ ) ♥
When I recently visited home, i ate nothing but vegetables. Just went into granddad's garden, picked and cooked them.
And rye bread with butter.

Mind, when I was viewing a house today, I was offfered a load of courgettes which was very nice. I found a good way of grilling vegetables on the Breville which takes about three minutes - perfect for people like me who come home from work after 8 absolutely staaarving.

Bramly(ブラムリー)という酸味が強い青りんごを使うと
とろっとした感じが出てくるらしいです。
I harvested a few fresh vegetables from the garden and mixed them with a few store purchased one and cooked them all up together: I have lean hamburger, Japanese egg plant, one jalapeno pepper, two banana peppers, two chili peppers, one bell peppers, green onions, mushrooms, garlic, diced tomatoes, green pigeon peas, olive oil, basil, salt, paprika, and black pepper - plus two white cheeses.

Pan seared salmon. Canned beans and vegetables.
A weird combo. But all i have is a pan to cook here.
I used a package Jambalaya mix and added to it chicken breast meat, and some fresh vegetables from my garden (3 hot peppers, a small ichiban egg plant, and an onion). The peppers added just the right amount of heat for me.
