…. to everyone at Flickr. Sincere thanks for all of your comments and faves during the past year. I hope you all have a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
This image is also for “Macro Mondays: Holiday Bokeh”. The little pottery Father Christmas measures 75mm in total, however, what you see here is just 45mm.
I worked on cleaning out toys, books, and furniture that has been loved and is now ready to move on to storage or to bless others. It was bittersweet to linger in sorting doll clothes, play-food, dr. kits, learn to read books and young childhood toys. So, I decided to play a little with the toys before they move on and I do too.

For Macro Mondays theme; "Holiday Bokeh".
I was busy wrapping Christmas presents, when I caught the glow of our tree lights reflecting from the tiny 2" bow that I was about to use on an equally small box. It seemed to fit this weeks theme.
I want to wish everyone a happy Holiday Season, and a very Merry Christmas. Oh - and I must not forget - HMM!

Title of poem by Langston Hughes
I dream a world where man
No other man will scorn,
Where love will bless the earth
And peace its paths adorn
I dream a world where all
Will know sweet freedom’s way,
Where greed no longer saps the soul
Nor avarice blights our day.
A world I dream where black or white,
Whatever race you be,
Will share the bounties of the earth
And every man is free,
Where wretchedness will hang its head
And joy, like a pearl,
Attends the needs of all mankind-
Of such I dream, my world!

"Christmas! The very word brings joy to our hearts.
No matter how we may dread the rush, the long
Christmas lists for gifts and cards to be bought
and given - when Christmas Day comes there is still
the same warm feeling we had as children, the same
warmth that enfolds our hearts and our homes."

Have MERRY and BOUNTIFUL CHRISTMAS my FRIENDS!!!
For this week's Macro Monday theme of Holiday Bokeh, I photographed a Christmas ornament that my boyfriend recently gave me.
"the strands in your eyes that color them wonderful
stop me and steal my breath
and emeralds from mountains thrust toward the sky
never revealing their depth.
tell me that we belong together,
dress it up with the trappings of love"
-Edwin McCain

These little boxes are one square inch each. The bokeh is from my Christmas tree lights.
Thank you everyone for your visits, faves, and kind comments
This was one of the first tree decorations we bought when newly married and had our own tree - about 40 years ago. It still comes out of the box every Christmas.
This is a snowflake fairy light. It is a set of lights up for Christmas. The red color comes from a red light behind it. Measures 1" in diameter.
