Hite Beer and Jinro Soju once again proudly sponsor the UCLA Bruin Women’s Golf Fundraiser Event.

One year later, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju reunited with the UCLA Women’s Golf Team, and helped sponsor the UCLA Bruin 18 Women’s Golf Invitational. From tee time to dinner, team members and guests had the chance to play a relaxing round of shotgun golf, with some refreshing beverages!

The Fundraising Golf Invitational was held on September 17th, 2012 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.

For years, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju has been supporting the UCLA’s #1 Ranked Women’s Golf team! As the main beverage and gift donation sponsor, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju provided a tasting booth at the golf club and players refreshed and reenergized themselves with samples of Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish Beer, and Hite Max Beer. Of course unlimited Jinro ‘Seok Su’ water was provided for players, as well.

After the rounds of golf, players and guests enjoyed a dinner and award ceremony, silent auction, and gift bags! As gift donation sponsors, Hite Jinro include a Hite cooler bag filled with 2 Hite ‘D’ Beer cans, 2 Hite ‘Dodger Edition’ Beer cans, 2 Max 100% Malt beer cans, 1 Jinro Pack Soju (soju in convenient to-go packs), and a Jinro Soju Cocktail book.

Hite Beer and Jinro Soju were a huge success and ‘hole-in-one’ at the Fundraising Golf Invitational. Until next year, thank you UCLA Bruin Women’s Golf Team!

..Its true. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it. Vegas Cream took a sweet swing, the ball bounced twice, rolled up the green and somehow dribbled in. Dave roared like a monkey on methamphetamine, said he had seen the light, would change his ways, and would no longer hang around school playgrounds in his beaver costume.

The big question, which will be resolved in the next twenty-four hours, is what this portends for the Gunnersbury Amateur Yearly Open. Will it have a Canadian winner for the first time in its long and glorious history? Has Vegas shot his bolt too early? Watch this space for exciting GAYO updates..

Flying Shuttle - Thwaites aptly named Official Lancashire Day Beer

John Kay For centuries handloom weaving had been carried out on the basis of the shuttle bearing the yarn being passed slowly and awkwardly from one hand to the other. In 1733 John Kay patented his flying shuttle that dramatically increased the speed of this process. Kay placed shuttle boxes at each side of the loom connected by a long board, known as a shuttle race. By means of cords attached to a picking peg, a single weaver, using one hand, could cause the shuttle to be knocked back and forth across the loom from one shuttle box to the other. A weaver using Kay's flying shuttle could produce much wider cloth at faster speeds than before.

That other ball found its way there before i had the time to get my camera up.

My ball was there in one shot, theirs in two.

Good hole :)

CAPTION: [I just messed in my pants]

I once described 'golf' as a game where you know it is possible to reach the 'hole' in one 'stroke' - except we always mess up the shot. Well today, after 18 holes of disc golf where I won the front and back nines (seven birdies, one bogey for a six under!!), we decided to play a short nine since it was such beautiful weather and the course was empty. So on hole #1, I threw the disc perfect - it went 120meters and right into the basket - a hole-in-one (two guys with me saw it and said they couldn't play with me anymore if i kept that up : ). - i got the shot of the day award. Nine birdies, one hole in one, 16 pars in 27 holes (10 under par!) - not perfect, but damn good : ).

Having fun playing some miniature golf.

February is one of the Canadian Snowbird months, and we too are thinking about a sunny and warm jaunt.

Well That made me think about last years vacation time spent with my sis. You may remember many a photo posted back then, and for some reason I had these two tucked away. My sister must have sent me the vibe, as they magically showed themselves today.

(btw I think she is secretly in love with TreeBeard!)

The 17th on The Old Course Ranfurly Golf Club, Bridge of Weir, Renfrewshire, Scotland .

This spot always makes me think that we are in the Highlands of Scotland but actually this is about 15 or so miles as the crow flies from the very centre of Glasgow. Beyond Bridge of Weir you can just see Kilmacolm and then the hills are those on the other side of the Clyde. Technically I think that some of the hills in the view are / may actually be north of the Highland boundary fault with the Arrochar alps on the left of the view.

I am standing on the site of an old fort complete with defensive ditch that allegedly dates back to Roman times. We used to play here as children and let our imaginations run wild. As an adult I still stand here and imagine what it must have been like looking out over this view a thousand years ago. To be honest apart from the obvious maybe not too much has changed?

As I know adult butterflies normally have 4 wings: a forewing and hindwing on both the left and the right side of it's body.

As may I guess, it's not easy to find a kind of butterfly which have a hole in 1 wing even you have very good experience, perseverance & logical thinking. But good luck is a must !
