There is a new season of shop windows in TsUM. Altogeher there is 36 new shop windows. One of them is dedicated to the English fairy tale, what was adapted by Peter Holeinone - "The Old Shoe". Creative Director - Daniil Berg.

in order to visualize that translucent crop frame, RAW image was processed in DPP, cropping lines were adjusted there, and then the whole was captured using PrtScr on not too highly resolving monitor = hence the loss of sharpness (the original is OK, with plenty to spare, even if 40d has only 10 MPx sensor) ---

I'm not specialist on choir techniques, but I believe they were singing a single note, perhaps an "A-441", to synchronize their pitch, not sure about the role of their palms, though - all what I know is that the choirmaster wanted them to do it, and they were humming softly seemingly the same note (unfortunately, I do not have absolute ear, so can't tell what note exactly)

EF 135/2 on N7 through Speed Booster (set to f/2, Exif showing 94.5/1.4) usually I'd associate such FL and properties with an extraordinary fine portrait lens, and it seems expectations were more than fulfilled :) !! ---

It’s so quiet as though she were alone,
she can’t fall asleep, she’s still wide awake.
Her pulse vibrates, she dreams her father is in

It is so quiet.
She’s counting time.

she’s shivering with heat, can hardly see.
Is Sidi Ifni there?
Dalila, someone whispers to her from close to,

how can we portray the main characteristic of a dancer, esp. when it is not a solo dance, but rather pairs, like here? After all what defines dancers, their personality, is to dance, their motion. And yet we need to have a good face as well. So when it is enough? Is this already a portrait??
Also, there still is that [rather dated] concept that a portraits need immobilized sitters, who "pose" - it is so very pervasive EVEN TODAY, and yet that prejudice originated in the first half of XIX c. just after introduction of the daguerreotype process (actually much earlier than this - in a painter's studio, where "sitting" was indeed the only option for an artist in the pre-impressionists era :) although, as many painters' sketchbooks amply bear witness, the best of them did capture motion and movement of their impressions of "sitters" to enliven their oils or pastels with a much more natural looking scenes, later-on... in a solitude of their studios ) ----
at this time of cold and misery... it is nice to remember those summers ---

I have never hit a hole in one, although I have sank 3 from the fairway from over 150 yards, all three with the same club, my trusty 9-iron. 2 eagles and a birdie. Still waiting on the Ace though

Or: Two Kinds of Small-Scale Perfection.
A "hole-in one" is a perfect golf score--a ball struck just once at the tee ending up in the distant cup. Here, some creature has made an almost-perfect hole-in-one of another kind. (If you know the likely creator, please share.)
My eye (and maybe yours) goes back and forth between the perfection of the hole-in-one and the perfection of the tiny sprig of blossoms (Lily of the Valley = Muguet).

An artist friend (painter, musician and performer) Gustavo the fire juggler performing on the roof-top (golf) driving range at the "Hole in One", Ajijic, Mexico. I did tell him after the performance that he should not be doing this with his hair untied and flying in the wind - Gee - how dangerous !!!
This 5 wood is quickly becoming one of my favourite clubs. At the moment it can do no wrong - including posing for photos.
