One year later, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju reunited with the UCLA Women’s Golf Team, and helped sponsor the UCLA Bruin 18 Women’s Golf Invitational. From tee time to dinner, team members and guests had the chance to play a relaxing round of shotgun golf, with some refreshing beverages!
The Fundraising Golf Invitational was held on September 17th, 2012 at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
For years, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju has been supporting the UCLA’s #1 Ranked Women’s Golf team! As the main beverage and gift donation sponsor, Hite Beer and Jinro Soju provided a tasting booth at the golf club and players refreshed and reenergized themselves with samples of Hite ‘D’ Dry Finish Beer, and Hite Max Beer. Of course unlimited Jinro ‘Seok Su’ water was provided for players, as well.
After the rounds of golf, players and guests enjoyed a dinner and award ceremony, silent auction, and gift bags! Yesterday was a great day. No, I wasn't on Necker Island with Kate Winslet but thanks for even considering the possibility for me. I cleaned the deck, washed some windows and played golf. After five holes of below-average-mediocrity, which is my normal game, I career drove on #7, blasted a 3 metal to 85 yards, wedged a beauty to five feet and birdied. Then came the par 3 #8.
If you follow the shadow of the pin in the photo back 172 yards you find the gold tees on #8 at Rollingstone Ranch Golf Club. I always hit 7 iron here and pray for the middle of the green and not the pond to the right of the green. Today we had a steady breeze in my face on the tee, so I chose 6 iron. When I hit it the sound was just the rare clean click of a lovely strike. Rather than my normal sloppily-swung-tail to the right, the ball flight had a little draw to the left. In the photo, you see where the ball struck the green, bit hard and bounced into the position you see pictured with a sweet plunking sound heard for miles around.
I am not a good golfer. I am an occasional golfer. Yes, I am aware that irritates the good golfers that I know. You boys brace yourselves. This was the second hole in one of my life. The first was in 1986 at Foothills in Lakewood, Colorado. One every 25 years seems about right. I was still laughing on the #9 tee where I put my tee shot in the water and returned to real life.
I went golfing today with a customer. He's the best golfer I've ever played with and routinely shoots under par. (without cheating). He has been golfing for 40 years and in the last few years has been golfing 3 times per week.
He got his first hole in one today. Very exciting. It was a par 3 and 162 yards. We saw the ball hit the flag but then lost it. We didn't realize it was a hole in one until we couldn't find the ball on the green. It was pretty funny when he realized it was in the hole.

Del mismo modo, individualmente, Fernando Peña Garavito obtuvo el premio al O´yes en el hoyo 9 con un tiro que se ubicó a sólo 1.10mts del hole-in-one.

The former dining room of the Santo da Serra Tea House is the current Avó Micas Restaurant. The restaurant has a breakfast service with home-made specialities and offers a food menu which includes traditional recipes.

well this was a first for me, i took this shot not knowing what i was going to do, just that i didn;t want to be too big in the frame. when i had a look at it to work out what to do and how to improve it, i ended up staring at it for ages, and couldn;t think of anything (might be everything catching up with me) so i just left it. first shot and its in the can.
usually i take loads, as i'm really fussy, but there was something quite liberating about just doing one shot.

This MK2 was parked in the judging section called the "POS" section. I would have to disagree. I thought that this golf themed VW with an astro turf hood and mini golf back (complete with astro turf and one hole with a flag) was one of the best at the show. It sure did make me smile! XD
I went to the Dubs at the Beach car show with the boyfriend last weekend. He is the proud owner of a MK4 GTI (not pictured). We love the VW car shows. Everyone is so chill and you can see some really nice veedubs.

He is the player of the "Kendo" of Japan of the highest level, and is one of leaders. (His qualification is 7 dan=shichi dan)
Therefore, I call his swing as "SAMURAI swing."
He is a good player also with ordinary golf, and a round gross score last week is 79 (38-41).

It is a kind of the mini golf to which an ordinary golf club hits the shuttlecock ball of a synthetic resin.

A shot of my Hole In One on the Par 3 eighth hole at Harborside International's Starboard Course. I knocked in a 180 yard 7-iron using a Cleveland TA-7 and a Titleist ProV1x ball. I had marked my ball with a green 4-leaf clover that day. Oddly enough, President Bill Clinton also reportedly aced this same hole, though I have seven witnesses to vouch for me, and yes, I bought the drinks.
