Oh, he is also leading the tournament!
Congrats Steph, on winning the American Century Championship!
Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high
There's a land that I've heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream,
Really do come true.

This is another one from the grounds of Leeds Castle, this time looking over the moat towards the golf course. It was taken on a rather dull day, so I thought I would funk it up with some colour and texture overlay. :)
My Lucky Charm, this Slazenger 2 was hit with an 8-iron in a beautiful high arc and landed to the left of the flag, hidden from the tee by a small mound.
Upon arriving at the short Par 3 (122 yards) green, the ball was nowhere to be found. I searched the second cut in back of the green thinking that it had probably run off, but could not find it. There was only one place it could be!
I asked 2 of my 3 partners to accompany me to the hole. Sure enough, the Slazenger Black Panther was staring me in the face! I almost fell backwards!
The odds of hitting a hole-in-one for an amateur is approximately 12,500 to 1. I had finally accomplished the dream shot of every golfer after too many years of coming close but no cigar!
Custom has it that the golfer who gets a hole-in-one buys Champagne for his foursome, but since this was a public course, Beer was the order of the day. My partners signed my score card and it was submitted to the course Pro who requested this certificate.
My "Slaz" 2 remains in a pocket of my golf bag, never to be struck again, but hopefully bringing me luck for my next hole-in-one!

Taken in Galway. Another excuse to remind you of the classic Steve Earle composition "Lost my heart to a Galway Girl" which you can see and hear here www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7-PM_4aeE4
And I ask you, friend, what's a fella to do
'Cause her hair was black and her eyes were blue
And I knew right then I'd be takin' a whirl
'Round the Salthill Prom with a Galway girl
OK I know her eyes are brown but I am claiming poetic licence!

This variety of Limacodid caterpillar occurs in yellow and green forms and some variations in between, which are consistent throughout the range of instars. These may represent different colour morphs of the same species (not unusual amongst the Limacodids) or different species presumably of the same genus.

Meanwhile... on the fairway...
sswwiiiissshhh!!
"WA! WAWA!"
Snoopy is a bit out in the rough. And missing the ball.
"ii1!ii!!ii1"
While it is kind of Woodstock to move the flag out to where Snoopy is... there are some rules violations in question.
sswwiiiissshhh!!
"WAWAWA! 😡 WAWA! WA!!"
Of course, rules or no, Snoopy does need to hit the ball.

Hole In One
Item No. 8377
NOS from the 90's.
Another of our favorite vendors from our days of our collectibles store is Westland Giftware. They had the loveliest line of Peanuts offerings.
I don't know if Westland is still in business but these figurines are a great legacy for them.
When all of the Peanuts figurines are lined up in a nice display it's truly amazing from their large ornate sculpts to their picture frames like today's Hole In One!
This is not the first time Snoopy has become frustrated with an uncooperative course, as seen in BP 2024 Day 273!

Nor is it the first time Snoopy has had trouble contacting the ball, as seen in BP 2023 Day 246!

A Night Like This
From where you are
You see the smoke start to arise
Where they play cards
And you walk over
Softly moving passed the guards
The stakes are getting higher
You can feel it in your heart
He calls you bluff
He is the ace you never thought
He played that much
And now it's more than all this cards
You want to touch
You never know if winning this
Could really be enough
Take a look
Beyond the moon
You see the stars.
And when you look around
You know the room by heart
I have never dreamed it
Have you ever dreamed a night like this
I cannot believe it
I may never see a night like this
When everything you think is incomplete
Starts happening when you are cheek to cheek
Could you ever dream it
I have never dreamed, dreamed a night like this
How many times
Have I been waiting by the door
To hear these chimes
To hear that someone debonaire has just a arrived
And opened up to see
My world before my eyes
That silhouette creates an image
On the night I can't forget
It has the scent of something special
I can't rest
If I resist temptation
Oh, I know for sure that I will lose the bet
I walk away and suddenly it seems
I'm not alone
In front of me he stands
I stop, before he goes
I have never dreamed it
Have you ever dreamed a night like this
I cannot believe it
I may never see a night like this
When everything you think is incomplete
Starts happening when you are cheek to cheek
Could you ever dream it
I have never dreamed, dreamed a night like this
I have never dreamed it
Have you ever dreamed a night like this
I cannot believe it
I may never see a night like this
When everything you think is incomplete
Starts happening when you are cheek to cheek
Could you ever dream it
I have never dreamed, dreamed a night like this

It is possible to ace the hole by throwing the disc to the upper basket so that it will roll to the "main" basket below. You can also play foot golf and floorball golf in Lakisto Frisbeepark.

Typical of many of the local Limacodids, these larvae occur in a couple of colour morphs - yellow and green.

EF 135/2 on N7 through Speed Booster (set to f/2, Exif showing 94.5/1.4) usually I'd associate such FL and properties with an extraordinary fine portrait lens, and it seems expectations were more than fulfilled :) !! ---
