I thought this Pellucid Hawk Moth was done for when it entered the Hit Man's clutches. However, the left claw failed to get the crucial grip on a wing.

Let us proclaim the Glory of the Lord

I seem to have hit a wall or dry spell in my photography - finding myself lacking both inspiration and motivation. Even thinking about heading out with a camera is kind of like having to plug my nose to take my medication.

When the weather looked promising for a sunset last night, a mighty heave was required to get my keister out of the house. Nothing much happened until the sun went down and I was ready to pack up - and then the colors started to intensify more and more as darkness gradually muted the light.

I didn't want to stop.

I know this is not a political platform. But war is hell, regardless. A drop of concentrated developer right into the exhausted lith developer brings out a chemical reaction similar to the explosion of a drone strike, a missile hit or whatever your mind can imagine hitting defenceless civilians (or soldiers for that matter). People die in Europe because of this. Every day.

They hit us hard and fast. Detonated a bomb inside the bunker - blew across the airfield with speed. Before we knew what was happening, we were dying.

If it hadn't been for SHIELD swooping in, we may have not got out at all...

The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe merger was 2 -3 years away as these 2 pass through Klondike on the climb up Ash Hill with a relatively short intermodal.

Trying out some combos to extremely varying results.

Bolt: Probably the least successful of these in my opinion. Lone Ranger head, CMF Spooky kid torso, Deathtrooper hips, Glam Batman legs.

Wrath: Based on his classic look. Also shaky. Ballerina bat cowl/head, Batgirl cape, Batzarro torso, CMF Babysitter arms, Daphne hips, Batgirl legs.

Ratcatcher: I think I made him look too credible. Heh. Vulture helmet, Boba Fett cape, reversed Hobbit torso, Monster Fighters legs.

Golden-Age Catwoman. Based heavily on Kid Photographer27's excellent version. Catwoman mask, Hermione head, Catwoman torso, Thanos hands, Starfire hips, Robin legs.

Huntress: Painted Batgirl cowl, Sabine head, Reversed Batgirl torso, Beast boy legs.

Let me know what you think!

CSX train Q217 (Philadelphia, PA to Louisville, KY, autos) approaches the diamonds of NS' ex-PRR/N&W Sandusky District as it rolls west on CSX's former Big 4 (CCC&StL)/NYC/PC/CR Mount Victory Subdivision in downtown Marion, Ohio on a perfect summer evening. In a few more hundred feet he will hit the diamonds of CSX's former C&O Pemberville Sub.

Hopefully this summer and fall affords us a few opportunities to hit the road and explore. Any thoughts on where you would like to go? 🤔

The combination of chance of storms and a day off meant a day out... I caught a hold of a few little storms throughout the afternoon...

Headed to the White Peak this morning hoping that there would be a decent sunrise and some snow to go with it.

The sunrise was OK (this was just as the sun was starting to rise as there is some light just hitting Chrome Hill) but surprisingly there was next to no snow.

Slamming across CSX's former C&O Pemberville Sub diamonds, and about to hit NS' former PRR Sandusky District diamonds, CSX train Q106 (East St. Louis, IL, Rose Lake Yard to Marion, OH stacks), aka "The Schneider Train" is near the end of his trip in Marion, Ohio. Q106 is traveling on CSX's former Big 4 (CCC&StL)/NYC/PC/CR Indianapolis Line, although this portion is now known as the Mt. Victory Sub. Erie's AC (Atlantic Crossing) Tower that once guarded and controlled all diamonds here now sits idly by in pristine condition, preserved for all to witness, although is now on the opposite side of the former Big 4 and Erie mains.

An Chicago, Fort Wayne, & Eastern Railroad (CF&E) job pulls past the somewhat decrepit PRR depot in Plymouth, Indiana and is getting ready to hit the diamond of the The Elkhart & Western. The E&W operates a portion of the former Nickel Plate (NKP)/N&W/NS Indianapolis-Michigan City (IMC) Division from Argos to Walkerton, Indiana. The CF&E operates the former Pennsylvania RR Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne, & Chicago main line in this area.

Bessemer-led SD45T-2s had ore loads for Two Harbors at Iron Junction and gets ready to head to the docks.

An Amtrak P42 and a hodgepodge of private cars was taking the connection from the BN onto the Harbor Belt.

The train was a Ronald McDonald House special that did a two-day circle trip around town, and the day before had a pair of spotless EJ&E SD38-2s on the point as the train traversed their trackage.

This runby at La Grange had a far less exciting leader. At least Amtrak assigned a clean P42 to the train. That 66 went on to brief fame in 2011 as Amtrak repainted it into the Phase 2 paint for their 40th Anniversary.

The 66 then hit a truck full of bacon and was set aside in Beech Grove with frame damage. The Baconator is no more.
