The highest point in Adams County is a bump in the road on top of East Big Flat Ridge, between Arendtsville and Shippensburg. Turn down a drive and go .3 miles down the gravel road.

The south slope of Mount Frissell in the town of Salisbury and historic Litchfield County includes the highest natural elevation (2,380') in the state of Connecticut. This is the trailhead from Mount Washington Road. The first few hundred yards are deceptively easy. This snapshot was taken on Wednesday, 24 July 2013.
