From atop Brasstown Bald, the highest point in GA.

This is the benchmark marking the highest point in Pennsylvania.

Mount Davis is located in the Forbes State Forest south of Somerset near the town of Meyersdale. There are hiking trails to the top, but one can also drive to the summit and take a short walk to the summit benchmark and the observation tower.

The highpoint is on top of a "sorted stone," a unique phenomenon at the top of the mountain. Frosts pushed the underlying sandstone boulders to the surface.

The summit of Mauna Kea is 13,803 feet / 4,207 meters above sea level. Tours make it to the summit for spectacular photography, observatory tours, and stargazing in the clearest skies around. If you ask, they'll point you to the path for the summit.

This is my 34th state highpoint / 76th county highpoint.

You can see here how the windows folded back onto themselves so that you could have a completely open space. The windows are original!
