This is my first attempt to shoot a real model from my lighting class. The model - Tez - is really helpful and really know what to do - without us telling her much. This setup is a high key setup, 2 lights lighting the background, softbox from her right, reflector on her left.

Knoxville High School (which is now labelled as Historic Knoxville High) operated from 1910 to 1951. The building was built in a Neoclassical Revival architectural style. In 1994, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Emory Place Historic District.
Since the school closed, it has served many years as administrative offices for the school district. However, it has also been vacant for many years. Fortunately, preservationists are helping to redevelop the property while restoring it back to original condition.

One of the favorite attractions in Fort Edmonton historic park is the street car. The park owns several cars and all have to be kept in running condition. The barn where they are housed contains all of the tools needed to keep Edmonton's history alive.

ODC-Up High
I decided to take a selfie this morning. That's me staring up at the skylight in my dining room. My home has high ceilings and several skylights! This is typical of flat roofed homes in the southwestern US. This ceiling is a good 8 1/2 feet above me.

Smith Oaks Sanctuary at High Island, Texas
The Smith Oaks grounds contain lots of relics from the past (like this long-abandoned power pole).
US Navy C-2 Greyhound stopped on the taxiway at NAF El Centro. The plane's crew were doing touch and go practice carrier landings. One crew member stayed on the ground and acted as the Landing Signal Officer. Every 10 or so landings they would stop for a couple minutes to switch out pilots-- the LSO would start flying, and one of the flying pilots would take a turn as LSO.
