The first of its kind in Philippine retail, Bonifacio High Street sets the stage for new encounters along a main street full of diverse cuisine, the latest fashions, even street performances. Its themed zones in eight buildings along twin boulevards celebrate the modern aspects of good living – fashion, health & beauty, home, sports, technology, and special interests- anchored by a 400mx40m wide interactive park. The 240-hectare Bonifacio Global City is a project of the Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation, a joint venture of Ayala Land and Evergreen Holdings. At its center, Bonifacio High Street redefines the mall experience as a walk in the park.

Serendra, on the other hand is a two-level esplanade and is a destination for distinctive international food and retail concepts, situated within a dynamic mixed-use development. Serendra recreates the landscape of the lifestyle experience, combining modernism of a global village and the tranquility of a natural environment.

The only thing I like about this photo is the pose (credit goes to Zlata on that) and the light on her hand. It would have been very good overall I think on a black background but as a high key (that was the assignment) it`s just doesn't have enough mood.

Nikon D90, using four photogenix (500 w/s), fill above the camera with a softbox, key (camera right) with a beauty dish, background below and behind the model and a hair light which was about a stop to bright camera right and behind the model.

Triggered via sync cable and optical slaves.

Edited in Lightroom, no photoshop.

Sunset over the Nepean River, Picton, NSW, Australia. Single exposure shot from the Picton Road bridge, about 50m above.

For much of its course the Nepean runs along a picturesque gorge. Further upstream this was sacrificed in heady days of progress (1920s and 30s) in order to boost Sydney and Wollongong water supplies with the 70,000 megalitre Lake Nepean. Interestingly this river mysteriously gets a name change after joining the Warragamba and Grose Rivers becoming the Hawkesbury River. I suppose early European explorers thought they were different rivers hence two names for the same river. It's not the only river with more than one name either, the Macdonald-Namoi River in northern NSW is another that comes to mind.

I'm soooo happy!! Today I got my first Monster high doll after a long time!! I got Draculaura because she is adorable!

Look High. Look Higher.

Do not fear falling. Falling and failing. Both are life, both are nature.

and you,

you belong to nature.

There's something so breathtakingly sweet about a high, lonesome vantage. Mount Shubel offers a boundless expanse from a sheer clifftop, spread across the sheltered fishing village of Sandy Cove. Most folks who live here now don't actually take to the sea, but for those who do, the horseshoe-shaped cove provides near-perfect natural shelter. That comes quite welcome on the desperately windswept coast of Digby Neck. We've spent a lot of time hovering on either side of freezing lately, remaining snow scattered in a thin skin. Yellowed grass pokes through bald spaces. Despite the howling wind, leafless trees seem disinclined to sway. There's a genuine loneliness lingering, and I genuinely feel as close to belonging as I ever have in one place. By the time I make the slushy hike down, it'll be almost as dark as I'll be lighter leaving.

Another visit to one of my favorite gardens at High Beeches in late June 2024. Shot on Ilford FP4 with my Olympus AF-1 TWIN point and shoot. Minor adjustments in Lightroom and Photoshop. Slight selenium wash in PP..

The tree is a Sequioadendron gigantium fashioned by high winds at this exposed location.

“I felt like lying down by the side of the trail and remembering it all. The woods do that to you - they always look familiar, long lost, like the face of a long-dead relative, like an old dream, like a piece of forgotten song drifting across the water; most of all like golden eternities of past childhood or past manhood and all the living and the dying and the heartbreak that went on a million years ago and the clouds as they pass overhead seem to testify (by their own lonesome familiarity) to this feeling.” - Jack Kerouac
