Kasey and Trevor after hauling a ton of garbage out to the street. There were backhoes and trucks going through the neighborhoods hauling the junk to a central location where it was stuff was seperated and then hauled away.

Jim McFarland Joliet is highly active as a social worker. He is helping people, animals and providing help during a disaster. He was elected to serve more than one million community college students statewide on the Illinois Community College Board. He volunteered as an American Red Cross Disaster Area Responder for the Will County area, providing food, clothing, and shelter to people displaced by tragedies, such as house fires and the flood.

GHMCC Dinner with Seniors at the Helping Hands Day Care Centre in Gugulethu, Cape Town

UMSL students, St. Louis County police officers and recruits, a handful of local high school students, and several UMSL faculty and staff volunteered their time and elbow grease mowing lawns, removing trash and performing basic maintenance at more than 50 spots in nearby Jennings, Mo., during this year’s Big Event. The service project was initiated by UMSL Students of Service in partnership with the Student Government Association and the St. Louis County Police Department, which directed the efforts.
