Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish was founded in 1919 by the first Bishop of Oklahoma, Theophile Meerschaert. Monsignor Monnot was appointed pastor on January 16, 1919 to a parish covering the 80 square miles that would serve the northward expansion of Oklahoma City. The first Masses in the new parish were celebrated in an automobile showroom on Classen Boulevard owned by the Rowe family. On May of 1919, twelve men worked for two days to build a temporary wooden church building on property purchased by the Parish... the property now bounded by NW 31st Streets, Western to Lake.

This morning I discovered one of our horses suffering from a bout of colic (constipation, pain in the gut, could be a number of things), rolling in his stall to try to relieve his discomfort. When the owners arrived, they let him out of his stall and he proceeded to walk himself up and down the aisle! Just like a big dog. He is smart enough to know that walking will help him get things sorted and feel better (hopefully). This is a cameraphone picture of him taking his walk. He's a really old guy, 32 at least, and nearly blind, but usually in really good health. Poor guy.

Trapped. Cat is lying on my desk, on his back, with all four feet in the air. His head is draped across one forearm and his butt is on the other forearm.

Worst. Predator. Ever.

Please help us out -many of our photographers are totally blind, if you can take a minute and describe a photograph or just give us your reaction to it, it would be greatly appreciated. Every description given adds to the richness of the image in our photographers minds. Photo by Derrik and SWPC

Help in anyway you can. A donation as small as one dollar can make a difference

There was an icy, cold wind as we began putting up the Christmas lights. The face mask was actually a very good idea. Look how pink Amy's face is, and see how the wind is blowing around her hair! Burrrr!! --- But do you think I could keep them off the roof? No Way!

Fairly shure this is a juvenile but what ? if anyone can help all thoughts greatly received.

It's a portrait of my grandfather, who died of Alzheimer's disease. He's depicted upside-down. A nice thing about working on MDF is that you can cut into it, which is what I did here - I used a grinder to cut through the painting into the substrate.

I got more snow. Not a lot, and at 40 degrees, it's melting quickly.
