Elymus salinus (Leymus salina) in the sagebrush steppe along Hwy 191 north of Helper, Utah, just across the Carbon County line in Duchesne County, Utah (near the east end of Emma Park Road). This area is dominated by Artemisia tridentata vaseyana (note the inflorescence arising from the top of each shrub), Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Ericameria nauseosus, Tetradymia canescens, and the grasses Elymus salinus, Elymus elymoides, and Stipa hymenoides. Agropyron trachycaulum and Bromus inermis are common in the most disturbed areas such as roadsides. Bromus tectorum as absent from the sagebrush steppe of this area, which is expected for mountain big sagebrush steppe.
Regarding Elymus salinus, the lemma midribs not lined up with the short narrow subulate glumes, and the inflorescence spike has mostly one spikelet per node, which combined with rhizomatous but bunched growth habit are distinguishing of Elymus salinus.
help me out, friends: i love these two photos, but I had them printed yesterday and they're kind of blah. any thoughts on what could help? boosted saturation? a stronger vignette in the bottom corners? a different crop? something's just not quite complete here. thanks!
Upperco, Md. For whatever reason this little dozer really seemed to convey a an aura of determination to me. Maybe I am crazy but I thought it was inspiring.
This photo was taken by my friend at college and I did the editing. The model is me and the message is very clear I hope.

We can certainly use your help! Please mark your calendars for our cleanup of the Historic Bread and Cheese Creek on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM, Rain or Shine, we clean up the section of Historic Bread and Cheese Creek from the Berkshire Area to North Point Road. Registration will be at 2408 Plainfield Road, Dundalk, MD 21222. This event will be run in conjunction with the Ocean Conservancies annual International Coastal Cleanup and American River’s Nation River Cleanup as well as Reclaim the Bay! We have also attached an event flyer for your use.
We run our cleanups as a family event with plenty of ways for volunteers to participate. We welcome every type of person of every ability level to contribute and assist with the cleanup. Though it is true we will need people to dig out shopping carts and haul trash to the dumpsters, we need people to run water, food, tools, and trash bags (both empty and full) to individuals in the creek. People to sort recyclables from the debris removed. People will be needed to help at registration, setup food and snacks as well as many other less strenuous activities. We are also authorized to sign-off on Community Service and Service Learning Hours for students. The more people we have, the easier the work will be for everyone. We will provide lunch and snacks as well as gloves. A limited number of tools are available for sign-out, but suggest bringing your own if you have them
Volunteers are also needed to arrive early and stay late for setup and break down. Photographers and Videographers also needed!

From the feral colony I help feed and watch over.
This is George. George appeared on the scene just a few weeks ago, but made quite the impact.
He is not feral. Quite the contrary, he is a very sweet and gentle cat, who loves to be petted and will kindly lick your hand in thanks.
George clearly belonged to someone, but somehow wound up in this wood. Drop-off, runaway, left-behind....we don't know.
He was also a candidate for rescue, but it was during the course of testing him for feline AIDS/luekemia (before getting him fixed) we discovered he was FIV (AIDS) positive.
Shit.
So this very friendly and exceptionally well-mannered cat is living out what remains of his life with one of the other women who helps watch over this colony. It's a shame because he likely would have made an exceptional companion to some family.
I'm really sad!
................
Why im sad, well it al started 3 weeks ago.
My sims game started actting up really weird, so I went to find out the proublem, doing numorous virious scans. There was no virious or nothng was wrond, but I got rid of some of my old programs and stuff anyway, just trying to fix the proublem.
Then, 3 days ago, my game just wouldn't load up, so I uninstalled sims2 seasons.
So today I tryed to load up pets, then it was almost finished and it crashed, so naturally I try to reload it again, and it crashed so I keep trying and trying to load it again, all ending in failed atmepts.
I did more virious scans, and have deleted some of my recent downloads, and it still won't work..
..... if you know anything that might be wrong or some suggestions then please give them to me.
