When I was still in school, a week wouldn't be complete if I don't get to visit this church.

We even used to fit 6 people in a motorcycle, every Sunday, just to hear mass at this church.

I remember how Fr. Oniot used to commend me and my sister as we always sing our lungs out with every song of praise.

But last Tuesday, a massive earthquake hit the heart of Bohol.

Even the world-famous Chocolate Hills took a hit.

And as you can see, our church, among many others got severely damaged.

Others, even to the point beyond repair.

Aside from that, roads, bridges and homes have fallen.

And lives have also been claimed.

As of writing, there are still numerous aftershocks.

Families have been displaced, settling to stay at open fields, with tents as their temporary shelter.

Suffering and grief.

I have never seen my home province shaken this much.

But as Boholanos and Filipinos, we remain resilient.

We remain attentive to the needs of others.

Many volunteers have been busy since Tuesday to help our brothers and sisters.

Kind hearts have shown that even though they are far away from Bohol, they can do their share to help.

I've recently experimented in painting a dark bley helmet from Arealight to achieve the desired shade of white on Scorch's faceplate; my problem is that the paint looks bumpy and terrible.

I need help from people who know their way around paints, any tips or advice, instructions or such that you can give me for getting the paint job to be smoother? I already tried thinning the acrylic paint with water, but this is the outcome. Am I doing something wrong? Anyways, any tips or advice are welcome!

This appears to be written in paint - not blood. Though it did lend extra interest to an otherwise boring room.

Brean beach is pretty isolated, so I went to try and get some long exposure of the night sky. I didn't quite get what I was after so though I'd have a go at some long exposure shots whilst I mess around with a torch. This is my attempt to write the word "Help" in the air...

Still, the long exposure did bring out the stars! I think the two really bright ones are Venus and Jupiter, as they were visible in the night sky recently. The bright lights in the middle right are from Cardiff, while the lights in the middle left are from Swansea.

I know it's a cliché, but this looks better on black!

I've only had my little helpers for two days now, they are proving to be a great help around the house.

I've been quite busy this morning so when they offered to open my new bag of bird seed and fill my feeders I jumped at the chance and said yes.

Unfortunately I forgot to tell them that I prefer the bag to be opened at the top to save too much mess but by the time I found them I was too late.

Oh well, they were only trying to help,

I got started on this tower yesterday, but I'm not sure what to do about it. The finished product will probably include the tower connected to the rest of a large castle in a large landscape. Anyway, I started on this tower, any suggestions on how I should finish it? Should I add a roof? If so, which color? Or should I add battlements? In that case how should I go about doing those? Should I add more to the outside of the tower? (I'm planning on finishing covering it in gray tiles, but maybe I should do something else? Anyway, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have a display going up at an ob/gyn office very soon. I already have a few other prints picked out but wanted one of these for the front lobby wall. It is going to be at least a 30x40 in size and a gallery wrapped canvas. Please choose your favorite. It will be on the first wall you see when you walk in so I want it to have impact.
