Le sujet interpelle, j'y retournerai plusieurs fois je pense.
Certaines sculptures feraient même assez peur...
Can you help me?
I think I'm drowning
And if I was, would you stay or would you go?
Can you see me?
Am I fading?
'Cause I feel like I'm still searching for my soul
It's okay for you to leave, I know
I've been through it once upon a broken road
Pain's my only home
I've learned to be alone
Feared the sea out of mystery
But now the sea is where I wanna be
Quiet and unknown
But pain's my only home
If anyone can get these bottle caps off, it’s bound to be this little guy! LOL! Taken for the Jules’ Photo Challenge Group: tiny Guess I did speak too soon- I am back standing in one spot to even get a cell signal. Not internet working here again. 😞
Another Hummer captured in my Arizona court yard on the branch of an Ocotillo. I 'm looking for an ID on this one. Help ...
The gold background is a mixture of green leaves and the sunlight reflected off of adobe, captured during the "golden hour".
Thanks so much for your comments!

Playground Puppies
Chapter 3 The Puppy Clipping
I take out a white handkerchief and lay it out onto a bench.
“Attention now my ladies, we will place your jewels upon this handkerchief to keep them all snugly together.
I instruct the two girls each to approach in turn…
I then “generously” help them to carefully remove their precious jewellery from their sweaty warm figures!
The redhead is first.
I help her unclasp her pearl necklace and guide her hand to the handkerchief where she places it down gently.
She removes her bracelet and ring and smiles most fetchingly at me as she places them on top of her necklace.
As she unclasped each of her earrings, I admire her slippery slick-looking green ruffled blouse and pat my fingers down along her skirt.
She smiles at the attention as she added her glittery earrings to the white silk handkerchief!
I then beckon the blonde to come.
The blonde obediently approaches as her red-headed cousin steps happily aside.
I lift her gemstone pendant and she reached behind her neck and unclasps it. I then let it drape carefully over the pile of pearls.
I lift her hand, admiring her ring as she slips it off and places it on the handkerchief. As she removes her earrings I take the time to keep her thoughts distracted by lightly caressing and admire her pretty yellow silk top, and skirt, complimenting her on both!
She started to step back, but her cousin, bless her soul, reminds her of the pretty jeweled hairpiece the girl is wearing.
She nods her head, and delicately lifts it out, then adds it to the pile.
As she reaches up to fix her silky blonde hair, I reach up with both hands and undo the glittery pin away from her soft jacket’s lapel. It was a looker, a jeweled sunflower, diamond center, and gold leaves filled with diamond chips, all on an emerald jeweled stem.
She actually chirped to me a thank you for helping!
I smiled at her as I added it to the shimmery pile heaped on the silk handkerchief.
They both had beamed at my compliments on their attire, not realizing that I am making sure their pockets and clothes contain nothing of value that may have been missed, say a loose ring that may have been taken off
The handkerchief now has a nice heaped pile of glistening silver, gleaming pearls, and glittery gemmed pieces...
^^^^^
As I was doing all of this, I never stop talking to the girls, distractingly assuring them how smart they are to be acting so mature!
I then carefully fold up the handkerchief as I ask if they had been to see the puppies yet.
They both look towards the kennels talking lively about how they had, and how just so adorable they were.
You two are quite adorable also I think to myself as I then make a show of having the blonde open her purse as I place the bundled handkerchief deep inside.
With a winning smile, I then release the beaming young ladies, sending them back off to happily play!
I stand watching the elegantly attired young ladies for a few precious minutes!
It had all gone brilliantly smoothly and was regrettably over far too soon!
I turned and began to walk off.

My time in San Fransico, hanging out with one my good friends who made me think of this concept whilst looking back at these old photos. National parks there are almost like mini canyons which I could explore all day but not night, since I've stumbled into a giant spider web that was impossible to break @__@

In a foreign land where things may look alien and language being a barrier, it is always good to have guides who are able to speak a common language and assist in a time of need.
All's quiet on Independence Ave in Cleveland, Ohio at 7:15AM, but in a few moments the hustle of several EMD switchers will come to life with crews of the AM shift of the "CROW", Cliffs Steel's internal switching railroad. Most mills like this are nearly impossible access, but public street Independence Ave cuts right through the heart of it and it's rail operations. I felt it would be best to be here on a Sunday morning when everyone are still nursing their Saturday night head wounds and the other area businesses are off for the day. Along the street are sidewalks that even Cliffs security can't toss you off from. There, kick back and watch the show as short trains of slab and hot bottle cars come from all directions crossing Independence Ave.
I couldn't help but think of Kris Kristofferson's classic "Sunday Morning Coming Down" while trying to get my head straight after a long overnight drive from the Hudson Valley in New York.
One of the greatest songwriters had passed a couple of weeks earlier and Johnny Cash's throaty rap of the song repeated over and over in my head.
"On a Sunday mornin' sidewalk
I'm wishin', Lord, that I was stoned
'Cause there's somethin' in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone
And there's nothin' short a' dyin'
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleepin' city sidewalk
And Sunday mornin' comin' down"
The CROW came down all right, blowing the coke gas around as they sped past, back and forth. It brought me back to life.
A fascinating high strung operation to witness on the inside, on a Sunday morning sidewalk.

Help Chile Overcome the Earthquake Chile stepped up efforts to find survivors of an earthquake registering 8.8 magnitude that struck before dawn yesterday, killing more than 700 people, severing the country’s main highway and damaging 1.5 million homes.
The eartquake was centered 200 miles (317 kilometers) southwest of Santiago near the main winemaking region and close to Concepcion, a metropolitan region of more than 500,000 people. Highways and airports were shut by damage and some copper mines closed. The total economic damage may be as much as $30 billion, or about 15 percent of the South American country’s gross domestic product, according to estimates by disaster- scenario modeler Eqecat Inc.
We need your help to overcome the earthquake.

Reading & Northern SD50s 5018 & 5019 assist with the R&N's Iron Horse Ramble at Jim Thorpe PA on August 13, 2022. Here the steam special is being turned for the return trip to Reading. The SD50 pair followed the train up in the morning, then coupled to the rear at Jim Thorpe and pulled the train up to clear the signal here and is now being towed by the steam locomotives on the head end around the west leg of the wye. The SD50 pair will then pull the train into the station for the return trip.

This is not a particularly good photograph but it comes to you with a request! It is a colourful flower with waxy stem and leaves growing among marram grass in sand dunes on East Head, Chichester Harbour, West Sussex UK. What is it??! Can some clever botanist help, please?
I was at Helper, UT when the dispatcher sent this helper set west to help a heavy eastbound. I being a grande fan followed eventually ending up in Provo. Eventually the heavy eastbound appeared and we were soon climbing Soldier Summit.

After WW2 , to help solve the unemployment problem of the returned soldiers and the oncoming Depression, the Government offered "Soldier Settlements'. Small acreages of land were given out and a sum of money to build a house and get a farm started. Sadly, the land was too poor to grow good crops on such small allotments, and the scheme was a failure, Driving past I took this shot of one of the houses with the communal machinery etc, piled around it - a field of broken dreams!

I've really begun to notice how much evil there is in this world.
And it scares me.
But I know that God has wrapped His arms around me, and will help me through my pain.
Slippery rails and a heavy train for Montreal required CP 142 to have the Hamilton 'Helper Set' tacked on the rear for a push up the hill to Waterdown. Other than in Hamilton, you won't find too many places where you can see a pair of GP20C-ECOs regularly assisting ailing stack trains.
I was building this car and the only way I could get the look I wanted was to use this technique (shown in the red and black bricks). I don't have the pieces in real life to test this myself so my question is does anyone know if this will actually work? It doesn't have to be a strong connection as it is only holding 5 tiny pieces (including the bracket piece).
LDD doesn't really like it so that's why I'm asking. I can place the bricks in the positions I want by using a different LDD technique, but when I exit and come back to the model later it says "2 bricks were not placed correctly and have been removed from the model".
Any help will be appreciated.

The reason why this picture is rendered was because this was [only] supposed to be a teaser picture because I was so happy with how the front turned out. It actually took me 2.5 hours, which is over half the time it took my to build the entire car.
So on a Macro Mondays posting recently someone mentioned that they didn’t have a ruler and hoped their picture was within the 3” parameters. And I got to thinking about teaching my elementary kids about measuring —- you always have a ruler with you….
For most people the distance between the first and second knuckle on your forefinger (pointer) is about an inch - even on adults. Go ahead try it… For those of you using metric measurements it’s about 2.4cms…..
So now you can measure macro items with more confidence!…… (By the way, another equivalency - the distance between your bent wrist and your crooked elbow is about the size of your foot. There are others.)
And if you’ve stuck with me for this science/math lesson— wish me a happy birthday 🎂- yes, it really and truly is my birthday!!
