The Southern Railway of British Columbia, branded as SRY Rail Link (reporting mark SRY) is a Canadian short line railway operating in the southwestern British Columbia. The main facility is the port at Annacis Island with major import of cars, export of forestry products, and other shipments. The railway has interconnections with three Class I railroads, including Canadian Pacific (CP), Canadian National (CN) and Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF). It operates a fleet of 29 locomotives, mostly consisting of EMD GP-9 & SW900 locomotives. It also rosters 5 unique Ex. Canadian National Railway GMD-1 locomotives, and also runs 3 SD38-2 locomotives, and 1 SD38AC. The railroad also operates a fleet 2,000 rail cars, hauling approximately 70,000 carloads per year. It operates around 123 miles (198 km) of track, 62 miles (100 km) of which is mainline track.
The Provincial government sold the railway to the Itel Rail Group in 1988. The railway was renamed the Southern Railway of British Columbia. The line was originally built in 1910 as the British Columbia Electric Railway (BCER), an interurban trolley service for passengers (until 1950) as well as for freight such as farm produce. The railway was taken over by Crown corporation BC Hydro in 1961, and was known as the BC Hydro Railway. In 1988 Freight rights, rolling stock and Rails were sold to Itel of Chicago with protected passenger rights at no cost. In 1994, it was bought by Washington Group International but kept the SRY name. The Washington Group has since merged with URS. To this day the Province and BC Hydro retain the right to reintroduce passenger service. Wikipedia

Running Mac OS X Snow Leopard. GPS, I-Bus, and rearview camera, touch panel, etc. are connected via USB. iPhone and Apple Wireless Keyboard can also be used for controlling the computer via Bluetooth.
The bezel for the LCD is made by Mr. Rich Silva (http://www.mybimmer.net/CarPCLCD.htm). His bezel is beautifully crafted.
The headunit is relocated to the glovebox by extending the cables. It can be hidden when not needed.
Aside from my old MacBook Pro dedicated for this project, the whole modification costs a lot less than the other 2-DIN type systems.

The Corolla E110 was the eigth generation Corolla, designed by Takayasu Honda, it shared the platform (and on some models the doors) with the previous generation. Japanese models received minor changes in April 1997 with new nose, tail, and interior.
The European and Oceania models had a different front and rear to the japanese models and can be distinguished by their ound headlights and mesh grille. As a result, a sporting model with a six-speed gearbox was offered. The European three door hatchback is the base for the Corolla World Rally Car (WRC).. The cars received a mid-life facelift in 1999 featuring a different nose (the previous round headlights proved unpopular, so it was replaced with twin smaller headlights under a single cover on either side ), and the new ZZ series engines with VVT-i replacing the old A series engines. The facelift also saw Toyota's own 2.0 diesel unit being replaced by a Peugeot-sourced 1.9 litre naturally-aspirated diesel. The new "facelift" E11 came with its own new set of optional extras( these however came standard on the SR models ) The Optional Extras included: Front Foglights, Front 'Sports Grill', Plastic Front Lip, Red&Black Interior(Same seat shape as other models), Honeycomb & Silver Dash Dials, OEM 15" Alloy Wheels(Choice of Style), Sunroof, Aluminium Pedals, 6 CD Changer and Sat-Nav built -in headunit.

We are proud to offer this amazing 1965 Cobra replica. It seems there are many Cobra kits on the market, but what makes one better than the other? Quality of chassis, body construction, finishing materials, drive train, and who built it are among the best questions. We are pleased to say that this Cobra has all the right answers to those questions! Built in house by Specialty Motor Cars LLC in Fayetteville Arkansas, this professionally built factory replica is of the highest quality, both in construction and finish! SMC specialized in handcrafted automobiles and built amazing replicas, both Shelby Cobras and Ford GT40s, but sadly the small company lost its owner to heart conditions and was sold to B&B Manufacturing in the early 2000’s.
BODY:
The fiberglass body was hand laid and rolled using ISO resins, the finest available. Starting with 4 layers of 2oz mat followed by Coremat and one 10oz layer of cloth. No cheap chop-gun production like most kits! Steel reinforcements are glassed in all stress and hinge points. The body was painted in beautiful Bright Red with White racing stripes. The paint is wonderful with great shine and depth. The SMC body is straight and the gaps and alignments are spot on. Full bumpers in chrome both front and rear not only look good but help protect the body and its passengers from harm. Dual Talbo Styled side mirrors make driving easier, and look fantastic! Chrome roll bar is not only great looking but a fully functional safety devise, tied into the frame at three structural points. A quick fill aluminum gas cap finishes off the racy look of the originals.
INTERIOR:
The interior is very comfortable and authentic looking. There is plenty of room under the wheel for your legs and it is easy to access all switches and shifter. All gauges are easy to see and read. It is fully upholstered in Black Vinyl with a padded dash. Seats are soft but still keep you planted on those twisty roads. A 4-point safety harness by M&R Products was installed for both driver and passenger. Locking glove box is an option seldom seen in a Cobra but always welcome! Both doors have map pockets in them and chrome door latches. Shelby Cobra wood steering wheel really helps with the authentic touch. Very high quality VDO gauges include Speedometer, Tachometer, Ampmeter, Temperature, Oil Pressure, Clock, and Fuel Level. A Very handy accessory is the electric wipers, Smoked Sunvisors, and Clear Windwings. Pioneer Stereo system with AM/FM/CD headunit, Speakers, and power antenna for when you get tired to listening to that great engine sound, if that ever happens!
ENGINE:
The heart of this beast is a fully tuned fuel injected 5.0 Liter HO V8 mustang engine with a Vortech V-1 supercharger system installed. The 302ci engine is now capable of 345hp, a lot of fun in such a light car. The upper intake, supercharger, aluminum valve covers, and intake tubes are polished. A Vortech Ignition/Boost controlled keeps the ECM and ignition functioning correctly. Accel super coil provides plenty of spark. The full length headers are connected to chrome side pipes with built in O2 Sensors. The car stays cool in the summer heat with twin electric cooling fans just like the ones used in the original Shelby Super Snake Cobra. Engine is mated to a bullet proof Borg Warner T-5 transmission, the same 5-speed used in Mustang GTs.
CHASSIS:
All SMC Cobra frames were built with MIG welded .120” wall 2”x4” rectangular steel tubing. This is done to reduce dangerous frame flexing which is common in round tube frame cars. The frames are designed to use Mustang II independent front suspension with power rack and pinion steering. An X brace is welded into the center of the frame for added strength, so it could easily handle the powerful engine. The rear of the frame was designed to accept Mustang GT rear suspension with 4-bar trailing arm design. The rear end is an 8.8 unit with 28 spline axles. SMC designed and built every frame to be safe, strong, and perform. Front disc brakes and drum rear are more than enough to stop the car safely. The wheels are 2-piece aluminum units from Compomotive. Tires are BF Goodrich Comp T/A and measure in at 275/50R16 Rears and 245/50R16 Front.
This one owner car is in fantastic condition with only 5902 actual miles since its build in 1995. Having spent all its time on display in climate controlled storage when not being driven and lovingly cared for my industry professionals. All gauges and light work, wipers and horn too.

Another year, another round of updates for cars. The latest news about 2019 lineup changes from Mercedes-Benz.
For the upcoming year, Mercedes-Benz has a long list of changes coming to the new luxury cars. Because of this long list, the press release is dense with information and I want to break it down as easily as possible for you all. So here’s the breakdown, direct from Mercedes:

Running Mac OS X Snow Leopard. GPS, I-Bus, and rearview camera, touch panel, etc. are connected via USB. iPhone and Apple Wireless Keyboard can also be used for controlling the computer via Bluetooth.
The bezel for the LCD is made by Mr. Rich Silva (http://www.mybimmer.net/CarPCLCD.htm). His bezel is beautifully crafted.
The headunit is relocated to the glovebox by extending the cables. It can be hidden when not needed.
Aside from my old MacBook Pro dedicated for this project, the whole modification costs a lot less than the other 2-DIN type systems.

2004 40th Anniversary Mustang GT Convertible

I bought this car on February 5, 2004 just after a business trip to Japan. After driving in little micro cars for nearly two weeks, I needed some American V-8 muscle.
Crimson Red 40th Anniversary Mustang GT Convertible. FX paint code (Merlot). This paint and trim package was an $895 option for the 2004 Mustang to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Mustang (1964.5 - 2004). The Arizona Beige stripes, painted Cobra folding mirrors, Arizona Beige painted five spoke wheels, 40th anniversary floor mats and interior badging was also available with black and Oxford White paint. All 2004 models have a fender badge, but only 40th Anniversary package cars have the extra items.
They were offered without a rear spoiler (likely due to the cost of adding more stripes?). I prefer the lack of a spoiler! Especially on the hardtop models. Roush offered several models with the Crimson Red paint as well.
This car is #4095 of 4558 Mustangs painted with Crimson Red in 2004.
These are the last of the Mustangs built at the Ford Rouge plant. The actual section of the plant that built these cars has been demolished. The new plant at The Rouge builds F-150 pickups. Mustang production switched to Auto Alliance in Flat Rock, Michigan for 2005 model year. This is a plant shared with Mazda where the Mazda6 is built. It previously built the Ford Probe and Mazda 626 / MX-6. The irony? The Ford Mustang was to be replaced by the 1989 Ford Probe until customers wrote letters to Ford in protest (I was 12 in 1989). Thanks! Without protest, the best looking Mustang ever made, the 2004 Crimson Red 40th Anniversary GT, would have never been built!
This car hit 11,500 two days before taking these photos. No snow, but it has been rained on twice at the Woodward Dream Cruise. It has been driven 1000 miles in the past two years. Most of these miles are on or near Hines Drive in the western Detroit suburbs. Huron River Drive is another favorite.
Just before the 2004 Dream Cruise, I installed a MAC Pro Chamber and Magnaflow MagnaPacks. I drive through the Detroit Metro Airport Mcnamara long term parking garage expecting TSA to show up! 100+ dB in the driver's seat.
I also hardwired an Alpine CDA-7897 XL receiver into the factory Mach 460 amplifiers to get some great sound from the factory speakers! The stock Mach 460 system(headunit) is garbage. Mustang Sally never sounded so good.

The iTrip was wired up, I choose to wire it to +5volts from the USB, as I couldn't find a reliable source of 3.3volts.
A dummy headphone jack allows the iTrip to turn on.
Later when I replace my headunit I can just jack into the headphone jack and get straight audio.
