Having grown weary of the winter, the Blessed family decides to take a vacation to the East. Little did they know, the communal resort they decide upon was designed by a wealthy businessman who had very little knowledge of the culture. The result was an eclectic mixture of both Eastern and Western styles.

Since 2010, a 14-meter-high scaffolding, consisting of cross-mounted wooden beams, has stood in the fishing village of Breskens, on which twelve enormous red penguins look silently over the local marina.
The artwork was created by the Belgian artist William Sweetlove. The pier represents structures that sometimes cannot withstand the force of nature. The Maritime Artwork has an international appearance and leaves an unforgettable impression on the visitors of Breskens.
In developing this work of art, the artist took Breskens' strong bond with the sea as a starting point. The penguin is a wild and mystical sea creature, which symbolizes untouched and protected nature. He is intelligent, knows how to adapt to the environment and lives in harmony with nature. Red is the signal color that prompts you to think about what needs to be done at the moment and warns against the consequences of climate change, among other things.

Why is it I always have ideas/stories related to my pictures but then it becomes impossible to write them down?
At school I was pretty good at writing, I even won some prizes! It's only been in the last few years, I've stopped writing, you know... we are always so busy/stressed/tired *rolls her eyes*
And it's frustrating, all those thoughts, feelings, ideas, dreams bottled up, even the thought process behind my decors and pictures, I shall make it a New Year Resolution along with the gym, new job, getting in touch with old friends, more sleep... and less screen time to read and write more, easy... isn't it?!
Yes, there was an idea behind this scene... Christmas Day is far gone, but in Spain, most of the kids, and adults are still looking forward "The Epiphany", or as we call it Día de Reyes (the Three Wise Men); so here some presents had been left to be opened the 6th of January in the morning.
I just wanted to recreate a very early morning, with kids excited around the Christmas tree opening their presents, as the parents smile at their joy and happiness while having breakfast sitting on the livingroom's floor <3
