A re-edit using Photivo of an image of a local eatery (Poco) in the East Village of New York.

Sanxiantai (Chinese: 三仙台; pinyin: Sānxiantái) is an area containing a beach and several islands located on the coast of Chenggong Township, Taitung County, Taiwan. The beach stretches for ten kilometers in length. It is situated at the 112-kilometer mark. A popular tourist attraction for its rocky coastal views, the area is well known for its long footbridge that connects the coast to the largest island.

Bring it.

I returned to Glastonbury on Sunday evening as the sky looked promising...again. Before I started my ascent of the Tor, I walked around the road that circles this famous landmark. This was when I stumbled across this view through a small gap in the hedgerow.

Could have been a lingerie model in a different life maybe.

Yeah I know I don't need to post photos like this and it cheapens the image a little , But I am way past point of no return now,

I think we can do photos like this as long as is kept tasteful and I think I do tend to stay on the safe side of the line.

Lets face if you were a woman who was happy with her look you wold post photos like this so why should we,

Yeah I know some of you feel awkward seeing me like this but it all harmless fun really.

Anyway in my head I look like those gorgeous women you find in the mail order catologs. You know the ones.... sure you do! after all they got you into dressing like a girl didn't they????

I know I longed to be one of those models. Maybe that's why I do these photos.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on this photos xxxxxxx

Have a great week everyone. I didn't have to work too late last night, but tonight I already know I am working until midnight. I will probably not be back on here until Wednesday morning.

Have to say I've never seen the Aurora like this before until I took this photo. Someone to the right of me noticed the light on the left hand side, a straight band of light clearly visible by eye. Absolutely stunning!

She I might have walked past you last night if you happened to be out and about In Cambridge. But would have noticed if I had?

Probably a lot of girls worst nightmare walking through a busy city or town full of students out having a good time in the bars and clubs. I walk through ,amongst and at one point with all these students and not one paid any attention to the six foot girl built like brick out house walking amongst them.

I often find that a busy environment is the best place to go unnoticed.

Love this look and yes I do have something on under the coat

Having talked at length about it in the “actual” version of this photo featuring 637 without branding, here’s a mock up of what a navy spare could have looked like. In some alternate timeline perhaps 616/7/8/9 went into full Uni4 livery instead of silver and 637/8/9 into navy spare so there were seven navy E400s to replace all seven navy Omnidekkas.

Or have it vice versa so that 637-9 the 4s as they are in real life, and the ex-lilacs as navy spares with possibly something like 640 done as well. Under normal operation they’d make up the numbers on the 4, but outside of term time or whenever else needed they wouldn’t look out of place on the 1 or 48.

Colour-specific spares aren’t a new thing, as around 2021/22 time orange line had one when 627 was branded up as a common vehicle for the 34/35/36, and even on navy line when 970 and 971 were briefly in plain silver and navy before they gained Easyrider wraps. Plus of course most of the vehicles carry branding for all routes of the same colour now, such as the old 17s now being 15/16/17.

Navy line is a bit weird by nature, however, using two main corridors either side of the River Trent and converging at Clifton. The 49 can be ignored as a Parliament Street route, hence its omission, so the side branding is “Clifton > Queens Drive or Trent Bridge > Railway Station > City” to provide a rather generalised outline of the navy route core. The 3 tends to keep out of whatever the other TBG navy routes are doing so is also omitted.

As for the frequency branding, I used the 20 minute one off the 1 because it was the lowest, although I could have possibly left it off completely as none of the navy line frequencies bear any relation to each other. Besides, when NCT changed the frequency to say “up to every XYZ” instead of “from every XYZ”, I never understood if it meant “up to” as in you could be waiting up to 20 minutes, or if the frequency went up to every 20 minutes but sometimes dropped to less often.

Shifting the focus over to the actual Photoshop edit itself, this is the first edit I’ve done in nearly three years that isn’t an April Fools one. I only did it on a whim after writing the photo description mentioning the idea of navy spares and realised it’d be a very simple task to make one as a demonstration.

For the benefit of gullible people with no attention span I’ve highlighted that this is, in fact, an edited photo in the corner. You know, just in case some plonker tries to edit 637 on bustimes, because unfortunately there are some people on the internet nowadays who genuinely are that stupid. Previously when I’ve made photo edits such things weren’t even a concern, but that’s just the state of the world in 2026, sadly.

I have been around coyotes for years. They were very prevolent in the area I lived in in North Burnaby BC. They used to try and stalk my dog and she snarled and tried to get them. But I never got a pic. Now during my adventure this time in Alberta, I got one doing it's thing. I was so excited.

:) have a wonderful week ahead !

have a lovely weekend. i hope it's sunny where you are.

Apologies for sporadic and sudden unexpected Flickr absences, but ill-health is having some fun and games with me again. For now, I'll post as and when I can. Sorry for not being able to keep up visits to photo streams. This piccy may be worth enlarging, by the way ... :-))

Renshi (錬士) is the lowest instructor grade in Kyudo (弓道), which is one of Japanese popular martialarts and is archery. All those participants have the qualification of 5-th dan (五段) or higher. Yet the grading is severe and generally only a few of them will pass among scores of the participants. She had had well over a decade experience in Kyudo at this time, training almost every day, yet failed unfortunately.

Having fun exploring the still life possibilities of the Fujifilm GFX 100s.

We were very lucky to have these guys nest again and in shooting range. They are very attentive to the chicks and feed them constantly, and in my humble opinion a great subject to photograph. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Recipe 1 of 50: Fireball Eggnog

I love a good eggnog, but mix it with some Fireball and you have yourself a winner.

I mix 1 oz of Fireball with 4 oz of eggnog, and it makes for a rather mild cinnamon and eggnog drink, just enough to give a little seasonal warmth but not enough to make your head spin.

But if you want a little more "warmth", just add a little more Fireball!

Again, no idea what bird this is, but it was having a rest from fly round trying to find food for the young.

Having captured 57604 at St Austell with the same train, the loco is now seen on the platform at Exeter St Davids having run round its train and preparing to departure with 1A40 to London Paddington.

The coach behind the loco is the livery that is beginning to make a come back on the Great Western Mainline, and with the line seeing the purple and pink livery from the First Group company for a number of years, it would seem that going back to the original livery is on its way.

have a good one folks, HFF :)

Having fun with my new 50mm prime lens and DoF!

This is what December looks like here in Sunny San Diego!

Happy Holidays!

I have three plum trees . When they bloom it looks like snow and the smell of the flowers is intoxicating. The bees were everywhere along with other types of flies, butterflies , moths and insects. I had a few run into me as I was standing in their flight patterns. When you looked up all you could see were bee and insects zooming around the flowers.Springs first bounty for these jolly feasters. !

The bokeh in the background are more plum blooms twinkling in the light

Have a glass of champagne.

Have a lot on my mind at present, and an afternoon in the Peak District was preceded and followed by some stressful days. Had an unstructured wander around several familiar locations, seeking relief from some dark days

Having a scratch…. So pleased with this shot….captured my friend perfectly..

I have been thinking about taking a picture like this for a long time and finally got a chance to do it last weekend. This was taken during my vacation to Olympics. The weather turned out to be awful making us stay indoors most of the times.
