Most of you have probably seen how quiet i have been on here and elsewhere of late. I wasn't sure whether to post this or not but then thought i may as well be open. The last couple of years haven't been great, as no matter how hard i have tried to fight it, depressive episodes and anxiety have overwhelmed me, as i try and work out my place and way in this world. I am doing ok, things look a little brighter most of the time but i am still struggling at times, as it just hits you from nowhere. So forgive me for my absences at times, Diana is still there, she just comes out of her shell less often at the moment..which is a shame i as i look at the pile of impulsively purchased new outfits & shoes in the corner of this room... one day soon i promise myself i will be enjoying wearing them again... the desire to feel those sheer nylons slide up my smooth legs, the nails going on, the beautiful feeling you have when your legs are extended in five inch pumps...one day soon. For now i will try and post some pics more often that i haven't previously shared, i love this one as the sun goes down, the warmth on my nylon encased legs, the open toed heeled sandals and the look to the future...lets hope it's a bright one. Apologies for going on, i just felt it right to tell you a little about how the person behind all these images feels at times. And to anyone who feels the same, i hope you find solace in the fact that there are others who understand how you feel and care about you... Sorry for going on...until next time xx
[Having returned home and as we inch into late Fall and Winter with no plans for extended photo trips until next year, I resume uploading the rest of my selected photos from 2020 (10 per day, usually in the morning CET), as well as a selection of my current, 2021 photos (usually 3 or 4 per day, in the evening CET).]
The Gers is a small part of the region of Aquitaine, which covers most of southwestern France. On July 2020, we rented a house for three weeks in the Gers area, and commencing today, I will upload a selection of the photographs I took while we were there. I hope you will enjoy them!

I have decided to revive my “Retro Rebecca” series, which hasn’t been seen on my photo-stream for several years.
The challenge is this: can you locate the first picture I ever posted of the dress or other outfit depicted? The reward: one of my legendary Big Big Kisses! It is made a little more difficult this time around, as the new images are all selfie close-ups, whereas the original images are usually full-length shots of me modelling the outfit in question.

I have been experimenting with the use of infrared filters and have been really happy with the results so far.
It means I can get out during the bright sunshine of the afternoon and still capture some pleasing images. As always I would love to hear your thoughts. Good or bad.
I have been looking at a few shots that I haven't posted and decided that I liked these two that were taken this fall. A shot of this guy in another pose turned out to be a popular shot for me.

We took the ferry from Poole to St Helier last week and spent a couple of nights on Jersey CI, mainly visiting Peter's family -his aunt, cousin and her daughter. I found the island a bit claustrophobic (in many ways) and was pleased to return to Dorset. As a child we used to holiday in Swanage, so I know parts of Dorset quite well. This year we are in west Dorset, an area I haven't visited before. We are self catering a couple of miles from Lyme Regis. The area is beautiful and we love Lyme Regis. This afternoon we went to Charmouth beach ... this is on the world heritage Jurassic coastline... to look for fossils on the beach. Can't really teach an old dog, or fossil, new tricks ... I just picked up the most beautiful stones I could find ....

I have found my personal rust paradise, only about 45 min from me. acres of old cars and trucks untouched for decades. It was a scrap yard years ago, but even the wrecks are awesome. I was overwhelmed walking the place, it would take a solid month just to see it all. much less Photograph. so...anytime I want to shoot old cars. I got that covered.
Alice is fascinated by the kittens. She has spent a lot of time peering under their door at them, and this morning she was playing with them under the door. Yet, when I opened the door so they could meet, she hissed at them and they hissed at her. Later I engineered an "escape" and let the kittens out for a short time. The other cats were all outside, but Alice only goes out in the evenings so far so she was inside. She was cautious, but she was also very curious about them.
Having not been to Liverpool for over ten years until about two months ago, I'm absolutely stunned at the transformation. Fantastic place, amazing museums, great food and nightlife.
Pretty poor show on my part when I only live a half hour train journey away.
I have a love of Brown Pelicans. At first glance they appear to be ungainly and awkward and yet there is a sense of calm and grace that surrounds them. They fly with strong, slow deliberate wingbeats and seem to be able to float just above the surface of breaking waves. Seeing one at rest, like this one, fills me with a sense of peace.
Have you noticed that tiny houses are a big thing? I was watching a home improvement show where people were trading in their normal sized home for a tiny house about the size of one room, some of them were in a tree. No doubt, they are very cute but I wondered how can you live in such a small space with your spouse or kids and not go crazy. There is barely enough room to have a good stretch and a yawn in the morning. I was not surprised to read in a recent article that many tiny house dwellers are regretting their tiny house. Some are even feeling anxiety from living in such small confines. Thankfully, there is a cure, you sell the tiny house and get a normal house.

The trees do not have eyes at Foyers, but they so have great wind broken and tree developed shapes to scour the skies yet they are not antennae. See a sky through the trees and take one and then another picture. Take these two pictures and with each make some reflections of the originals. The highland light and colours are fantastic and they make a photo on their own. Here the pines reach into a seemingly endless sky. The hills at the other side of Loch Ness through the pines look magnificent. Everything together was an excellent scene.
