While I was walking around the old supermarket car park I noticed this tree. I go past it often enough from a different route, but it looked so much better from where I was.

Stourhead (/ˈstɑːˌhɛd/) is a 1,072-hectare (2,650-acre) estate at the source of the River Stour near Mere, Wiltshire, England. The estate includes a Palladian mansion, the village of Stourton, gardens, farmland, and woodland. Stourhead has been in the ownership of the National Trust since 1946.
I just love this tree. It's outside the Creche near our apartment. I really must try and get it in better light at some point.

The beautiful tree, that had already suffered from either a storm, or possibly a lightening strike, was damaged yet again in the storm.
To the left (at the base of the trunk), you can see another branch has fallen.
