Tree-mendous Tuesday!

Thank you for taken your time to visit me, comments or faves are

always much appreciated!

A most unusual tree, species unknown. I was fascinated by its twisted branches and the sprinkling of fall color beginning to appear.

Situated on the Music Concourse of Golden Gate Park between the California Academy of Sciences and the de Young Museum.

Thank you very much for your views, faves and comments.

Royal Poinciana trees have such pretty fern-like leaves. And when their abloom with their striking red flowers they are gorgeous and leave no question as to why they are also known as Flamboyant.

I shot this photo while at a stop light on the way to church (husband driving).

Happy TREE-mendous Tusday

Or maybe a blind??? This was located in a grassy area next to the Bok Tower and Gardens parking lot. I couldn't find any information about it, sorry! But I was amazed by the tree that is going through the side of the structure.

According to the SwissTopo app this path was closed due to ice. Photo stitched from three SOOC jpegs.

Or perhaps it's two trees, taken aback, and leaning away from each other ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Saw this the other day and just had to take a photo, talk about perfection!!

This was taken through the passenger window of the car, at 70mph on FL Turnpike, when we were on the way home from Lake Wales.

Windy Willows.

Taken in Étampes along by the river (or one of the 7)! Just noticed there's a bench in the photo too!

"When you enter a grove peopled with ancient trees, higher than the ordinary, and shutting out the sky with their thickly inter-twined branches, do not the stately shadows of the wood, the stillness of the place, and the awful gloom of this doomed cavern then strike you with the presence of a deity?"

Seneca the Younger

There are some beautiful trees in the valley. This one has a bench underneath to shelter from the already hot sun. Panorama stitched from two camera jpegs.

Happy TREE-mendous Tuesday!

It's a Strawberry tree ~ Arbutus unedo.

"Internationally acclaimed artist, Patrick Dougherty, returned to McKee Botanical Garden for his second Stickwork installation in January 2020. Patrick, his son Sam, and a group of dedicated McKee Botanical Garden volunteers worked tirelessly for three weeks climbing on scaffolding, weaving, bending, trimming and shaping willow saplings into a one-of-a-kind sculpture made exclusively for McKee.

The new sculpture, which resides in the south end of the Royal Palm Grove, has been named Grand Central by Patrick."

Information provide by McKee Botanical Gardens, on its website.

I think it's a corkscrew tree, but not 100% sure. But, whatever it is, it's right outside our main front door.

Same tree, different angle. Taken in Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument, New Mexico in 2013.

From the BLM (Bureau of land Management) website:

"The Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks National Monument is a remarkable outdoor laboratory, offering an opportunity to observe, study, and experience the geologic processes that shape natural landscapes. The National Monument, on the Pajarito Plateau in north-central New Mexico, includes a national recreation trail and ranges from 5,570 feet to 6,760 feet above sea level. It is for foot travel only, and contains two segments that provide opportunities for hiking, birdwatching, geologic observation, and plant identification."

This morning the world is calm and sunny!

It's hard to believe yesterday happened.

Storm Ashley has stripped the trees and bushes in the garden of almost all their leaves, and the high wind warnings are still in place … but the birds are flying high, and the sun is warming the world again!

A happy start to the week 😊

and Happy Tree-mendous Tuesday!
