For Macro Mondays theme; "Hand Tools". Our drill has solid wood handles, and takes a lot of strength to drill a hole. We are so thankful for the electric drills we enjoy today. HMM!

Used by General Motors engineer. Perfectly functional in spite of wear and tear. Cropped to slightly under 3 inches.
A collection of screwdriver bits for this week's Macro Mondays 'hand tools' theme. The length of each 'rack' of bits is 5 cm giving an overall image of approximately 7 x 7 cm.
15 images in a focus stack processed in Helicon Focus (option C). Photoshop for dust and speck removal. Lightroom for cropping, split toning and global adjustments. Conversion to mono in Silver Efex Pro.
Many thanks to all who view, fave and comment on this image and the others in my photostream. HMM!
To make a faucet stop dripping, you need to replace the tap washer. Eventually this will not be enough since the problem is inside the pipe: this is where the Tap Valve Seat Grinding Tool enter to perform the task. The tap reseating tool + a new plumbsure rubber tap washer = One perfect job! Save water! Save earth!
HMM! =)

EXPLORE #2 - Jun 11, 2018
Posting late in the day for Macro Mondays "Hand Tools" theme, but not yet added to the 365 as I need to catch up, and hate getting them out of order!
An old hand drill which belonged to my late father in law. Converted to a cyanotype in Silver Efex in deference to it's advanced years.
Front approx 1" across, large cog 3" approx.
I always think the space craft which swallows another one in the Bond film looks a bit like this.

The two blades of my potato peeler. Gets a lot of use in my kitchen. Taken for the Macro Mondays 'Hand Tools' theme.

While looking at tools in my tool box, the end of this mini portable dog bone shape torque hexagon wrench reminded me of E.T., the movie. The caption of this image here is a quote from the movie, slightly modified! ('school' changed to 'hand tool')
Shot with an old 50mm Nikon lens on Nikon D800. To achieve the magnification seen here, 12mm + 20mm extension tubes were attached between the lens and the camera. Colors/tones enhanced in Lightroom, then cropped and saved as JPG file in Photoshop.
Two inexpensive speedlight-clones were used to light this subject. Both on TTL, reflected off of white foam core boards, camera left and right, no more than a foot away, were illuminating this end of the tool. The flashes were triggered by on-camera flash in commander mode.

Wonderful theme this week because I love tools.
I made two series of pictures, which is not very smart because now I have to make a choice, which one to upload; the foldable scissors or the vernier caliper?
I think the scissors are funny, the vernier caliper looks more professional.
