The vast majority of images I do these days are macros, so just taking this photo felt strange in itself. For me, these tweezers are invaluable when I'm picking up and arranging tiny objects like the stiletto shoes in this image. The shoes are as light as a feather and only ½" long. I frequently knock them over! I find these cheap plastic tweezers are much easier to use, and far more accurate, than metal ones and I wouldn't be without them now. The background is a modern dolls house carpet.

my brand new pruning shears - HMM!

Hand Tool is the theme for Macro Monday. This multi-purpose tool resting on my bike handle bar. I go nowwhere without. Numerous size wrench's 2 screw driver bits and 4 allan keys which is all I need to repair bike when need be. Happy Macro Monday all. (;-D

Those are the cogwheel teeth of an old "Egg beater drill", so called because it reminds of the kitchen ustensile for beating eggs.

This model is of the French "Peugeot Frères" brand of tools, existing since 1810 and still active.

By mounting the crank on the one or the other position, you could engage either the inner or the outer flat cogwheel, and hence chose higher or lower speed.

Crazy Tuesday theme for this week is "Hand Tools" .

Thanks for taking time to fave, comment and look at my work. I really appreciate.

My entry for this week's Macro Mondays theme, Hand Tool.

I had a chrome vanadium 22mm ratchet spanner, but I borrowed this from work because the ratchet mechanism in this is open and visible. I thought it might add to the character of it a bit more.

Also, this one has been used far more than my own!

I did discover as to how hard it is to photograph anything in gloss chrome finish, as the lighting technique is totally different to what one might think. As chrome surfaces reflect almost all the light, it is counter intuitive to pummel it with a speedlight directly. So, I had to use a reflector to get the surface of the spanner lit.

I was happy with the result in the end, especially the sunstar on the right hand side, which I noticed only in post processing!

Action part of an old ten inch hand brace (as in Brace and Bit) for the Macro Mondays group, topic: Hand Tool. Happy Macro Monday!

One of my favourite small clamps because of the nice turning head. Only while editing did I notice the 'Bat symbol'. I originally though to process to B&W but the rust colour adds to its character. Maximum width is 2 1/4 inches.

Focus stack (25 images ) Shot with two off-camera strobes (Godox AD200Pro/XPro II trigger). Flash A camera right 45 degrees 90 degrees above table, round head, modified with fully extended snoot, Flash B modified with MagMod MagSphere, behind 24 inch velum scrim.

Side to side (l to r) of these carbon bristles measures 1.5" in length. A wide angle shot of the brush is seen in the comment area below. I have no idea why I own this tool...I probably thought I would use it for scratching surfaces to make textures for my relief prints.

Wonderful theme this week because I love tools.

I made two series of pictures, which is not very smart because now I have to make a choice, which one to upload; the foldable scissors or the vernier caliper?

I think the scissors are funny, the vernier caliper looks more professional.

After a long absence from MM -- 2 months! Arrgggh, too long -- I have come back into the theme of "Hand Tool" and have chosen things which are, literally, hand tools. Emory boards for your finger nails. HMM!
