Sooo, I painted this banner yesterday to hang on a water tower on the road to a vineyard that Kristin and I are getting married at next week! I have a bunch more signs to paint for the party, ceremony etc.
At last, the saga of the Jaywalkers is over. While the pattern was interesting to knit, these wouldn't be my favorite socks to wear—too slouchy; I need me some ribbing.
The only redeeming quality is the LOVELY Scout's Swag yarn. I adore the colors and the wool itself feels fabulous.

I am using these wonderful Pebeo glass paints on my pieces. They have beautiful, vivid colors that have different levels of transparency. These paints allow for the play of light through the glass. The same piece looks different depending on how the light hits it. Each piece is painted and allowed to dry for twenty-four hours. Then it is baked to set the paint. Once this is done, it is dishwasher safe.
A QUICK UPDATE ON BUMPER: His mom emailed me last night and said everything is going well. She couldn't have asked for a sweeter or more adorable cat. I thought about him all day on Sunday so I was so happy to get the email. Yeah for Bumper!!
