This is the "Bishop" from my brother's Cowboys & Indians chess game that he made years ago. He took some of his childhood plastic Cowboys & Indians, handpainted them, and set them on a chessboard that he also made in his woodshop. The pieces are 3 inches tall, with the exception of the "Knights" and the "Castles" which are taller. And since it was rainy/snowy on Thanksgiving Day, I set him in a potted plant near the window.

If you're like me, you LOVE sushi. These cookies gave me the challenge of simulating 3-D sushi shapes on 2-D cookies, and I had a blast making them. Each cookie is hand painted on top of royal icing. Tasty (non) fish!

I used a toothpick for the first layer of silver, then used a brush to paint brown over the whole chip when it dried.

Every year my village has a large art exhibition during Easter. These lovely cloggs were on show there.

Trying to practice some handpainting. It took me forever to do this 4", I cant imagine painting a 4 tier cake ! x
