My collection of handpainted Easter Eggs bought at an Easter Egg market in Michelstadt, Germany. These are real egg shells. I've managed to transport the eggs from Germany to the U.S. to Tokyo and now to England.
After trying my hand a painting on a cake with the leopard print last week, decided to have a go at handpainting roses!
I handpainted this tea kettle using a Dianna Marcum design. It features gingerbread cookies and baking items. The background is barn red and will go with most kitchen decor. The kettle can also be used as a unique candle holder.
Another beautiful hand painted thrift store find. No information available other than the stamp on back which only says, "hand painted Italy".

One of my best friends just got married (I was her 'Man of Honour'. The vicar said "how very modern").
Anyway, she found this lantern at a carboot sale and asked me to paint it up as a decoration for the present table at the wedding. It started off plain bleached pine with an aluminium 'roof'. I added some decorative trim and generally camped it up a bit (yup, those are pink rhinestones). The names of the happy couple and the date of the wedding are on there too. To be honest I think it looked better plain, but then my wonderful, beautiful, funny friend is one of those larger than life types who LOVES colour and sparkle, so I'm hoping I wasn't too far off the mark.
Please raise your glasses in a toast to Kyung-Won and Andy!
