Love, Trust, Hope......

There are many words that we could all conjure up to describe this photo! There are people in our lives that live by good example and set the standard high. They are being observed and lessons learned. One small act of kindness from each of us on any one given day can change our world.

Thank you Dad. You have made this world a better place!!!

this... is my right hand (yes I'm left handed is anybody else?) I'm not sure why it wanted me to do a pen but here we are!

My hands are pretty beat up. I'm one of those people who doesn't really go out of my way much to keep from hurting them, and the worse they get, the less any one "blemish" bothers me. Some I've had longer than I can remember, and some have a good story behind them. The largest of all lies on the other side of my left wrist.

I was bored so decided to make an attempt at re-creating the 'Drawing Hands' (M.C.Escher)... atleast i'm not bored anymore.

From Tuesday, just before I cut them because one was on the verge of breaking and I had one hand with long nails and one hand with short nails and that's kinda odd.

Hand made by my mom as a Christmas gift

This series started as I was putting away my Christmas decorations and thought "oh, some of these would make good photos to post next year". That turned into a shoot lasting three evenings and creating around 10 gigs of images.

This was an educational (if slightly grueling) process that helped me learn a bit more about still life, lighting and macro shooting.

I wanted to try a high contrast development on that one!

It's also a different composition than the one taught by the textbooks. The light seems poor, too.

However, I like the atmosphere here. And it's quite lucky that the two were going this way (past the sign on the pavement).

The white lines also create an interesting frame here. So I decided to upload something different tonight.

The day after tomorrow I will upload a guy with a wooden phallus :-)
