Horseshoe, for a love of mine who adores horses!
Thirteen as I've always loved the fact that soooo many people are scared of a number, and even in some countries they won't put a 13th floor... f**kwits !

Photograph an image which exemplifies the essence of altruistic behavior. – Steve McCurry
This was also taken on April 5, just as people were ready to march towards City Hall.
If you look closely you can see the word "everything" from another sign that was almost in perfect arrangement with the bigger sign. The sign with Hitler's face is a nice touch, too.
If you haven't seen the video yet, here it is on my YouTube channel. You can see the march as it begins in Pershing Square and ending at City Hall.
E’ sempre la partenza, il mondo, e quasi sempre l’arrivo. Non occorre inventare nulla, l’incredibile è nostro, è vicino, è proprio qui. Senza tanti giri, senza ricerche: se siamo pronti, ci facciamo trovare.
It’s always the departure, the world, and almost always the arrival. Nothing has to be invented, the incredibile is ours, near, and here. Without looking for, without wandering, if we are ready, we got found.

This is one of the ideas I had for the M.I.L.K competition...Moments of Love, Intimacy and Kinship. The lighting in this turned out to be a little harsh so I will have to try again. Back to the drawing board.
edit: I did new ones with better lighting but they seemed to lack the emotion so I am sticking with this one.

This pigeon was holding on tight to this man's fingers and taking seed from his hand, Stow Lake, Golden Gate Park.
My heart is in your hands,
As your heart is in mine,
Our love can never end,
Till the end of time.
If only they could feel,
Could see inside my heart,
Then they would come to know,
We will never be apart.
Our love will stand the test,
Will never ever fail,
No matter what comes our way,
Together we will sail.

1932 Leica 11, 35mm Summaron and PolyPan F @ 200 ASA stand developed in Rodinal 1:100 for 1 hour.
An older image, spruced up and re edited. I used Darktable to edit the raw file and GIMP to colour the white and red pill completely red. The red pill has become a symbol of the men's rights movement.
I'll paste the notes underneath, from when I originally took the photo.
Grey light coming through the window and some processing in Darktable. Still can't rely on centre weighted metering on the Olympus. This had to be lightened by about 1 and 2/3 of a stop. Still finding it difficult to get a natural look out of the E-PL5, but the extra quality gives more latitude for processing.
Done, hand held, with a 60mm (equiv) manual lens at f3.5. Note that it's reasonably fast because most zooms won't be f3.5 by time they are extended to 60mm.
