Muong women picking tea leaves in Long Coc. Tea farming has always been labor intensive for many reasons, part of which is evident here in this image. Mechanized farming would be challenging in such a sloped terrain, and those who are tea connoisseurs understand that tea leaves are often picked from specific parts of the plants during certain seasons of the year, an impossible task for a machine to accomplish.
