In mid-July, my husband's veggie garden is still in pretty good shape. Later on, the weeds will get the upper hand [and I will be laboring in gardens of my own]. Squash and potatoes have their own garden, since they take up so much space.

Efter at have brugt det meste af ugen på at læse anatomi af underarmen og især hånden virkede det her som en god idé. Resultatet er måske lidt kedeligt, specielt i så småt et format (originalen nåede op på noget nær 12000x6000).
Jeg elsker hænder. De formår at sige så meget, både med og uden lyd: Et vink, et klap, et knips, en fuckfinger - hænder styrer. Sarah Kay havde et fedt sæt om hænder på Def Poetry Jam for et par år siden, se det!
Ellers er der ikke sket meget siden sidst. I fredags hang jeg med Thøger og Jens, bare chill og en masse øl. Jeg overså imidlertid at der var sat krog på en af dørene, så da den ikke åbnede vandrede jeg frontalt ind i den. Og de var flade af grin.
Dagen efter vågnede jeg med 10% tømmermænd og 90% smadret frontallap.

After spending most of the week on the anatomy of the forearm and hand, this photo seemed like a good idea. The result is perhaps a little boring, especially in this small a format (the original had reached a near 12000x6000).
I love hands. They manage to say so much, both with and without sound: A wave, a snap, a clap, a middle finger - Hands rule! Sarah Kay had an awesome set on hands on Def Poetry Jam a few years ago, watch it!
Otherwise, nothing much has happened since last. Last Friday I was hanging with Thoeger and Jens, just chill and a lot of beer. I overlooked, however, that the door had been put on a hook, so when it did not open, I walked head-on into it. And the guys were flat with laughter.
The following day I woke up with a 10% hangover and 90% smashed neocortex.

A young piano Jazz prodigy performed at the well-known Friday Jazz at LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). Four young musicians joined the artist, consisting of drums, upright bass, trombone, and tenor sax. It was the opening act for Charles Owens, an American jazz saxophonist, and flutist. It was a superb evening.

Hands of a sculpture I took in Ely cathedral about 1990. Just a digital photo of the 11x14 inch print I made back then from Kodak negative film. It's retaken with an old macro lens that doesn't tell my camera what it is in case you are worried by the EXIF.
