At my grandparents 50 Anniversary party.. very low light and a glass with icy water..

This was a photo I took for my White Balance, ISO, and Modes project. This photo was taken using the White Balance: Halogen setting. I really liked the contrast this photo had with the other photos I took on the White Balance setting; I didn't expect it to turn out blue!

Those lens would cost $8 million to replace today. Tricky shot to get with the lens table rotating, it took several goes to get the timing right to poke the camera in and shoot.

I used one construction type halogen work light placed to camera right with a translucent scrim to soften the primary light source. I added on camera flash for fill light and to provide a catch light for the left eye (that's camera left). The light is a little softer in this picture, to achive that look I sat a little closer to the light source and increased the shutter speed.
