These are just a few of the shots we took for the Microminimus Halloween Competition. While we didn’t receive the fan vote, we were selected as a Staff finalist for our efforts in these shots. Wow, we actually won something in one of those competitions! I’m kind of shocked by that……

Japanese Halloween costumes and fun on the streets of Tokyo during the 2016 Shibuya Halloween Street Party. This year, the party is taking place over three days (Sat, Sun & Monday) and the Tokyo police are closing the streets around Shibuya Station to give people more room to enjoy Halloween. Check our video of Tokyo Halloween 2016 here.

Please leave a comment, only takes a few seconds!

Here's Cadence sitting on a tower of pumpkins at Dollywood. I took her there to see if I could get some pictures for Halloween, but they're still in their Bluegrass and Barbecue thing and just starting to get their fall decorations out.

Today's the BHC's Halloween Preview day. I've got a lot more pictures of this dress in this "dress trailer" video that, unfortunately, is too long for Flickr. On my site or on YouTube at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDq6qyXWXqg

I took a walk around our lake while it was still dark this morning. One of my neighbors put up this life-size skeleton in her yard. It freaked me out.

Halloween Symbols - FIRE

To the Celtics, the bonfire represented the sun and was used to aid the Druid in his fight with dark powers. The term bonfire comes from the words "bone fire," literally meaning the bones of sacrificed animals, sometimes human, were piled in a field with timber and set ablaze. This practice of burning humans was stopped around 1600, and an effigy was sometimes burned instead.

Legends tell us that on this night, all the hearth fires in Ireland were extinguished, and then re-lit from the central fire of the Druids at Tlachtga, 12 miles from the royal hill of Tara.

Householders were levied a fee to relight their holy fire which burned at their altars. The extinguishing of the fires symbolized the "dark half" of the year, and the re-kindling from the Druidic fires was symbolic of the returning life hoped for, and brought about.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN MY FLICKR FRIENDS!!

This is a post & run, I'll be going home to the province in a while.. Enjoy your Halloween Weekend!!

Hey everyone! This morning brought a return to cloudy skies and a wonderful display of sun rays...being Halloween, the scene brought to mind the 1938 radio broadcast by Orson Welles that caused widespread panic, "The War of the Worlds", as invaders from Mars brought havoc from the skies...but rather than a threatening presence, this morning offered only God's glory descending upon the horizon! Have a great Sunday, ya'll! : )

This is a series of photos I took for BJDcollectasy.com for halloween this year! I made the bookcase and all the books myself, as well as repainting an old curio cabinet for doll use. Orpheus and St. George will be available hopefully this weekend. Miss Skalle is a unproduced prototype that seems to enjoy hanging around.

If you're interested in how I repaint furniture I recommend altar'd furniture's ebooks!
