A hadith from Sahih al-Bukhari, chapter: Prayers (Salat): Sahih al-Bukhari, Prayers (Salat) Book 8, Hadith 28 Narrated 'Abu Juhaifa: I saw Allah's Messenger (pbuh) in a red leather tent and I saw Bilal taking the remaining water with which the Prophet had performed ablution. I saw the people taking the utilized water impatiently and whoever got some of it rubbed it on his body and those who could not get any took the moisture from the others' hands. Then I saw Bilal carrying a short spear (or stick) which he planted in the ground. The Prophet came out tucking up his red cloak, and led the people in prayer and offered two rak`at (facing the Ka`ba) taking a short spear (or stick) as a Sutra for his prayer. Hazrat Saad Bin Ubaadah asked, "Ya RasoolAllah (May Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him)! My #mother has passed away (I want to give some Sadaqah (#charity) on behalf of her), which Sadaqah would be the best for her?" The Holy Prophet (May Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him) replied, '#Water.' So, Sayyiduna Saad got a well dug and said, "This is for Saad's mother." (Sunan Abi Dawood)

June 18, 2013 at 08:18AM June 18, 2013 at 08:04AM Al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Musa (Moses) (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) asked his Rubb: 'Who amongst the inhabitants of Jannah will be the lowest in rank?' He said: 'It will be a person who will be admitted into Jannah last of all when all the dwellers of Jannah have entered Jannah. It will be said to him: Enter Jannah. But he will say: O my Rubb! How should I enter while the people have settled in their apartments and taken their shares? It will be said to him: Will you be satisfied and pleased if you have a kingdom like that of a monarch of the world? He will say: I will be content, my Rubb. Allah will say: For you is that, and like that and like that and like that and like that. He will say at the fifth time: I am well-pleased, my Rubb. Allah will say: It is for you and ten times more like it. You will have whatever your soul desires and whatever your eyes could delight in. He will say: I am well-pleased, my Rubb.' Musa (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: 'Who will be of the highest rank in Jannah.' Allah said: 'They are those whom I chose and I established their honour with My Own Hand. I attest with My Seal that they will be blessed with such bounties as no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no human mind has perceived."' [Muslim]. وعن المغيرة بن شعبة رضي الله عنه عن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "سأل موسى صلى الله عليه وسلم ربه، ما أدنى أهل الجنة منزلة ؟ قال: هو رجل يجيء بعد ما أدخل أهل الجنة-الجنة، فيقال له : ادخل الجنة، فيقول: أي رب كيف وقد نزل الناس منازلهم، وأخذوا أخذاتهم؟ فيقول له: أترضى أن يكون لك مثل ملك ملك من ملوك الدنيا؟ فيقول: رضيت رب فيقول: لك ذلك ومثله ومثله ومثله ومثله، فيقول في الخامسة: رضيت يا رب فيقول: هذا لك وعشرة أمثاله، ولك ما اشتهيت نفسك، ولذت عينك، فيقول: رضيت رب، قال رب فأعلاهم منزلة؟ قال: أولئك الذين أردت؛ غرست كرامتهم بيدي، وختمت عليها، فلم تر عين، ولم تسمع أذن، ولم يخطر على قلب بشر" ((رواه مسلم)). Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr: Abu Bakr As-Siddiq said to the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) "O Allah's Messenger (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam)! Teach me an invocation with which I may invoke Allah in my prayers." The Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Say: O Allah! I have wronged my soul very much (oppressed myself), and none forgives the sins but You; so please bestow Your Forgiveness upon me. No doubt, You are the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، عَنْ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَلِّمْنِي دُعَاءً أَدْعُو بِهِ فِي صَلاَتِي. قَالَ " قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي ظُلْمًا كَثِيرًا، وَلاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، فَاغْفِرْ لِي مِنْ عِنْدِكَ مَغْفِرَةً، إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ ". And Ibn 'Abbas narrated: Abu Sufyan bin Harb told me that Heraclius called for his translator and then asked for the letter of the Prophet (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam), and the former read it (thus): "In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Merciful. (This letter is) from Muhammad bin 'Abdullah, to Heraclius. "...O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians): Come to a word that is just between us and you that we worship none but Allah..." (V.3:64) وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سُفْيَانَ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، أَنَّ هِرَقْلَ، دَعَا تَرْجُمَانَهُ، ثُمَّ دَعَا بِكِتَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَرَأَهُ " بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ إِلَى هِرَقْلَ، وَ{يَا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ تَعَالَوْا إِلَى كَلِمَةٍ سَوَاءٍ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ }" الآيَةَ.
