Malik bin Al-Huwairith (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: We came to the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) when we were all young men of nearly equal age. We stayed with him for twenty days. He was extremely kind and considerate. He perceived that we missed our families so he asked us about those we left behind, and we informed him. Then he (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Go back to your families, stay with them, teach them (about Islam) and exhort them to do good. Perform such Salat (prayer) at such a time and such Salat at such a time. When the time for Salat is due, one of you should announce Adhan (call for prayer) and the oldest among you should lead Salat." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. وعن أبي سليمان مالك بن الحويرث رضي الله عنه قال: أتينا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ونحن شببه متقاربون، فأقمنا عنده عشرين ليلة، وكان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رحيماً رفيقاً، فظن أنّا قد اشتقنا أهلنا، فسألنا عمن تركنا من أهلنا، فأخبرناه، فقال: “ارجعوا إلى أهليكم، فأقيموا فيهم، وعلموهم ومروهم ، وصلو صلاة كذا في حين كذا، وصلوا كذا في حين كذا، فإذا حضرت الصلاة فليؤذن لكم أحدكم، وليؤمكم أكبركم” ((متفق عليه)) . Abu Sa 'id AI-Khudri (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah () said: “One should not undertake journeys except to three mosques: al-Masque al-Haram (in Makkah ), the Aqsa mosque, or this mosque (in Madinah)." Agreed upon. وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ اَلْخُدْرِيِّ - رضى الله عنه - قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -: { لَا تُشَدُّ اَلرِّحَالُ إِلَّا إِلَى ثَلَاثَةِ مَسَاجِدَ: اَلْمَسْجِدِ اَلْحَرَامِ, وَمَسْجِدِي هَذَا, وَالْمَسْجِدِ اَلْأَقْصَى } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 . 1 - صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 1197 )، ومسلم ( 2 / 975 - 976 / 415 ). ONE DAY HE SENT ME TO DO SOMETHING, AND I SAID: I SWEAR BY ALLAH THAT I WILL NOT GO. BUT IN MY HEART I FELT THAT I SHOULD GO TO DO WHAT THE PROPHET OF ALLAH (MAY PEACE BE UPON HIM) HAD COMMANDED ME; SO I WENT OUT AND CAME UPON SOME BOYS WHO WERE PLAYING IN THE STREET. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE APOSTLE OF ALLAH (MAY PEACE BE UPON HIM) WHO HAD COME UP BEHIND CAUGHT ME BY THE BACK OF THE NECK, AND WHEN I LOOKED AT HIM HE WAS LAUGHING. HE SAID: GO WHERE I ORDERED YOU, LITTLE ANAS. I REPLIED : YES, I AM GOING, APOSTLE OF ALLAH! ANAS SAID: I SWEAR BY ALLAH, I SERVED HIM FOR SEVEN OR NINE YEARS, AND HE NEVER SAID TO ME ABOUT A THING WHICH I HAD DONE: WHY DID YOU DO SUCH AND SUCH? NOR ABOUT A THING WHICH I LEFT: WHY DID NOT DO SUCH AND SUCH? حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الشَّعِيرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمَّارٍ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، - يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ - قَالَ قَالَ أَنَسٌ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مِنْ أَحْسَنِ النَّاسِ خُلُقًا فَأَرْسَلَنِي يَوْمًا لِحَاجَةٍ فَقُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ لاَ أَذْهَبُ . وَفِي نَفْسِي أَنْ أَذْهَبَ لِمَا أَمَرَنِي بِهِ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم . قَالَ فَخَرَجْتُ حَتَّى أَمُرَّ عَلَى صِبْيَانٍ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي السُّوقِ فَإِذَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَابِضٌ بِقَفَاىَ مِنْ وَرَائِي فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَضْحَكُ فَقَالَ " يَا أُنَيْسُ اذْهَبْ حَيْثُ أَمَرْتُكَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ أَنَا أَذْهَبُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ . قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ خَدَمْتُهُ سَبْعَ سِنِينَ أَوْ تِسْعَ سِنِينَ مَا عَلِمْتُ قَالَ لِشَىْءٍ صَنَعْتُ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا . وَلاَ لِشَىْءٍ تَرَكْتُ هَلاَّ فَعَلْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا . Al Madinah Al Munawwarah Research and Studies Center (www.madina2013.com) organised an exhibition on the life of the Prophet [pbuh] in Ramadaan 2016 outside Al Masjid An Nawawi. The purpose was to highlight the Prophet’s [pbuh] life, wisdom, characteristics, relationships, mission for Islam and an outline of the series of events during his birth and death. The exhibition comprised banners displaying authentic hadith, calligraphy and made use of installation arts using architectural material to take the audience through a virtual tour in the Prophet’s [pbuh] lifetime.
Thauban (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) finished his Salat (prayer), he would beg forgiveness three times [by saying, 'Astaghfirullah' (3 times)] and then he would say: "Allahumma Antas-Salamu, wa minkas-Salamu, tabarakta ya Dhal-Jalali wal-Ikram. (O Allah! You are the Bestower of security and security comes from You; Blessed are You. O Possessor of glory and honour)." Imam Al-Auza'i (one of the subnarrators) of this Hadith was asked: "How forgiveness should be sought?" He replied: "I say: Astaghfirullah, Astaghfirullah (I seek forgiveness from Allah. I seek forgiveness from Allah)." [Muslim]. - وعن ثوبان رضي الله عنه قال: كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا انصرف من صلاته ، استغفر الله ثلاثاً وقال: "اللهم أنت السلام، ومنك السلام، تباركت يا ياذا الجلال والإكرام" قيل للأوزاعي- وهو أحد رواته: كيف الإستغفار؟ قال: يقول: "أستغفر الله ، أستغفر الله" ((رواه مسلم)). Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Three are the signs of a hypocrite: When he speaks, he lies; when he makes a promise, he breaks it; and when he is trusted, he betrays his trust." [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. Another narration adds the words: "Even if he observes Saum (fasts), performs Salat (prayer) and claims to be a Muslim." وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه ، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: "آية المنافق ثلاث: إذا حدث كذب، وإذا وعد أخلف، وإذا اؤتمن خان" ((متفق عليه)) . زاد في ((رواية لمسلم)): "وإن صام وصلى وزعم أنه مسلم".
