Had a fairly chilly day at Bempton chasing owls, no sea birds on the cliffs to speak of so everyone was chasing owls. With great thanks to Bill Bailey for the title :)

Many thanks to all who comment, fave or just enjoy looking, it really is very much appreciated!

Had a great day traveling across I-70, especially that part through my home state of Utah. Definitely got a little exercise as I made several stops and hiked to areas I wanted to photograph from. Took over 150 pictures to day. I'll post a few more some other time. Still sorting and deciding which I like best.

Had a few good friends at my set up today always a bit nerve racken but kingy didnt let me down one of over a thousand images taken in a good three hour session

We had a good arrival of palm warblers :-) They were foraging just a few feets from me at ground level. It's really my favorite way to take warblers as the back can be of different colors. This one did that fluffy display pose and I find that too cute to not post it :-))

Had a great trip this week to Lake Erie with flickr friend Stew Hooey. Great to get away for a day.

Had the pleasure of visiting this place as I was in Donegal at the weekend. To be honest I had never heard of the place but I'm glad I found it and made the trip.

These cliffs are among the highest in Europe and are almost three times the height of the more famous Cliffs of Moher. No photo will ever do this place justice, well, mine certainly won't lol.

It's hard to believe that sights like this are a few hours drive away!

Inspiration of this song i had in my head...I am usually sweet...but ..somtime you just have to put a feet down.

It dont mean shit now

See I don't know why I liked you so much

I gave you all of my trust

I told you, I loved you, now that's all down the drain

You put me through pain, I wanna let you know how I feel

Fuck what I said, it don't mean shit now

Fuck the presents, might as well throw 'em out

Fuck all those kisses, they didn't mean Jack

i had a trip to blyth beach this morning to try and catch the sun rise, it was nice to bump into phil ure and have a chat. thanks for looking

Had an off day so took a walk in the Palace Park. Trying to get familiar with the Canon 70D.

:-)

When we had our holiday home near Looe in south-east Cornwall we would often spend time on Dartmoor, enjoying the peace and quiet of the moors. One of our favourite places was Combestone Tor, which overlooks the valley of the River Dart near Hexworthy. This is perhaps the most accessible of all the tors, and is just a few dozen yards from the road to Venford Reservoir. It has stunning views across the Dart Valley, with Dartmeet just a mile or so away.

we had sunshine and showers and lots of clouds .walked a few miles up and down quarries been in the mines and loved every

moment.

we need more long weekends in our lives

I had headed to the road to take some foggy morning photos, hoping to catch a truck passing, but when I saw the sun beginning to break through the clouds, I turned my attention back toward the property.

I had never before seen a horned ghost crab (ocypode ceratophthalmus) when I spotted this one on the beach at Belle Mare, on the island of Mauritius. Luckily, I was able to lie face down in the sand to get a shot as the tiny animal approached. It scuttled off to the left immediately after this moment.

Had the pleasure of THREE hawks playing around in the back yard this morning. Over 1000 photos taken and one of the best hours of my life. An amazing start to the day!

Had an enchanting encounter with a Townsend's Solitaire

I had thought to do some shots for a website, in Formal, Casual and Lingerie. However between me asking the parameters and submitting, the rules changed so it was a waste of my time. So lets post them here!

This is the Formal clothing one.

I had meant to get up early today and spend sunrise at the bird sanctuary. My reliable furry alarm went off at 6:30 am, but when I saw how cold it was I decided to sleep in instead 😅 There was enough frost and ice left at noon anyway.

We had some rare sunshine today, yay! A the moment the flood plains are filling both with water and with wild geese that were visibly enjoying the sun as well. Most of the birds here are greylags with the occasional Egyptian goose in between.

I had to laugh when I saw this pair of brolgas momentarily stopping the sheep in their tracks as they strutted through this lush green paddock! They reminded me of slender fashion models gliding by on a catwalk as the admiring audience looked on!

Happy Gorgeous Green Thursday!

Had some fun with the Nismo GT-R and a Ford Raptor yesterday around the city. It was another oddly mild January day making it a perfect day for a photoshoot.

Had a bird book given to me for my birthday, hope I got the correct name for this bird.

I had a very early morning meeting, the advantage of which is that I saw the sun come up -- albeit briefly. Another day to breath; now be thankful (cue Fairport Convention right about now): www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXNM0dpHMq4 Musical factoid, Richard Thompson, one of the founders of Fairport Convention, which many credit as the main influence for what we now call Folk Rock, is the only performer I have seen live five times. He has not once disappointed me in a performance. The opportunity in Toronto to see him in a small venue with about 100 people is perhaps the highlight of my life in terms of live music performances.... He played for almost three hours and we soaked up every little bit of it.

Had a lovely feed of Fish and Chips on Friday night with a glass of wine.

We had a 4 night stay at Treks Bunkhouse with our local camera club and this was the view from the window. Absolutely fantastic. I can highly recommend this place if you love the countryside and peace and quiet.Treks Bunkhouse, Y Cefn, Ffestiniog, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd LL41 4PS

I had just jumped of a bus and noticed this pair of homeless people huddling on the bridge, trying to comfort each other. As they sat and thought, the bus behind waits for the traffic light to change. On the side of the bus we see an advertisement for the National Lottery. We are all chasing dreams. For some it is another drink , and others , an empire...

Had to go back to the gardens today to see what else we could see, and came across a number of neons that we didnt see in our prior visits.

Had two monarchs visit yesterday and they had competition from many bees flying around. More bees than I've seen all summer. (There are 3 here.)

Had the opportunity to go to a harvest mouse workshop. Great fun but geez they are fast

- IF I HAD A HEART -

Had a day out in East Sussex yesterday. Went looking for these but really struggled, I think we found one male and two females. So it was worth the trek if only to see three..

had to look up the plant with the dark blue berries.... november mood.

Had some lovely comments from you of the otter cubs. Here they are in the pouring rain waiting for mum.

Always appreciate your comments and faves.

Many thanks.

Had Fun Snapping a pic of the amazeballs Grace while hanging chill on the Sunny's Studio and Photography Sim

Had planned to go birding early but dense fog advisory plus Tikki wanted a lap. Added to Happy Caturday for 7 January 2023, theme “Peaceful”

Had a visit from a small flock of Dunlin yesterday down among the seaweed and rocks

I had hard time in choosing the color of my latest origami-tessellation "Starry Flowerbed"…… I uploaded yesterday the mixed color version. But I find the other colors also interesting, because they emphasize a different aspect of this tessellation, at least in my eyes……. so I decided to show you all of them…

Folded with "Anett-Paper', grid 1:96, hexagon 43cm.

The final size 20cm.

If you are interested to see more, have a look at my tessellation album Origami - Tessellation Progression".

I had some luck on this trip with the quick moving Japanese White-eye. I saw them very frequently just like the Northern Cardinals. They can be frustrating to shoot like Warblers here. I had good success with them finally! Click for large view :)

67020 had been hauling train 1D34 Manchester Piccadilly-Holyhead, however it failed at Newton-le-Willows, 66177 which left Warrington Arpley as 0F35 Seaforth bound, was commandeered to rescue 67020, arriving at WBQ as 5D34, where 66177 took the 67 off, later on 67014 arrived to haul the train away, back to Crewe i think i left before the hook up.

A quite unusual aspect of the two locos, is that they both carry the three beast logo, from their English,Welsh and Scottish rail ownership days.

I had intended to follow the path along the upper slopes of Biggin Dale and then down into Wolfscote Dale, as the low cloud/fog appeared to have set in. As I climbed the slope into Biggin Dale the fog started to lift so I decided to retrace my steps back along the top to Beresford Dale. I'm glad I did as I was treated to some good light as the Sun fought to break through.

Had an amazing Halloween weekend with my love and his girls. Love our little family and the memories we are making together.

Had to leave this splendid cloud this morning to pick the other half up from work so missed all the best colour, mind being on those rocks only gives you a small window of time at a lower tide so you have to be careful you get off in good time when the tide turns, which it had this morning, still could of done with another 20 mins and I would of had a corker

Had some company for a change, JasonBushYorkshire

My friend had been right to reproach me, from the minute i set foot on this magnificent forest, I knew this was my kind of environment.

The Muir Woods National Monument is an old-growth coastal redwood forest. Due to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, the forest is regularly shrouded in a coastal marine layer fog, contributing to a wet environment that encourages vigorous plant growth. The fog is also vital for the growth of the redwoods as they use moisture from the fog during drought seasons, and in particular the dry summer months.

Had a catastrophe today when my big mac died . . . am trying to process from a laptop . . . not too happy about all of this!

Hopefully I'll be able to resurrect the dead . . .

I had always believed that shooting with the lowest possible ISO was the best (going back to the days of film), but a video I watched last night suggested some experimentation with higher ISO settings for wildlife shots could yield results. So here we go - ISO 6800 and these mundane Black-headed Gulls become almost ethereal
