A plea that appeared on many boarded-up storefronts during the pandemic. Later most of the storefronts had murals painted on these boards. I hope that some of the wood still made its way to HfH or similar organizations.
Habitat’s 2,000th Canadian Family – Rowena, Jeffrey, and their children Alliana, Justin and Katelyn (baby) are Habitat for Humanity’s 2,000th Canadian family to receive a safe, decent and affordable Habitat home, which is part of Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg’s Sir Sam Steele housing development.
View of the outside of the Habitat for Humanity house my church has been working on. The large whole is the foundation for the side porch (which really doesn't need foundation walls), and we had to build a gangplank over it to get into the house.
Eraj Kiyomov, son of Sanamgul Lochinova, has received a small loan through the program of Habitat for Humanity Tajikistan. He is using it to renovate the house for his family.
General Global Village – Global Village volunteers are provided with the unique opportunity to provide safe, decent and affordable homes to those in need, while also travelling around the world, experiencing other countries and cultures. A Global Village trip can be a life changing experience for the volunteer, the community they visit, and the families whose lives are changed because of their work.

Winnipeg Blitz Build Photos – Each of these photos were taken during Habitat for Humanity Winnipeg’s 2010 Blitz Build event, held on their Sir Sam Steele housing development.
For the past three years, Habitat's annual Blitz Build has taken place at the Sir Sam Steele site on the popular Nairn Avenue location. The initial three-year plan concluded last year with 32 Habitat homes using up all the available land, except of course where the abandoned old school resides.
Last fall, Habitat purchased Sir Sam Steele school and property and will replace it with a planned 18 new homes over the next two years.
I volunteered with Habitat For Humanity in the summer of 2011 photographing homes. I photographed this particular home from start to finish.
This was one of the little girls who would visit us on our site, she was showing us her new burka which she was so proud of.
Most of this house was blown in from the inside where I could get into the walls from the attic and the tops of the walls where they had opened them up to run the base board heat pipes. leaving mostly just under the windows, by the stairs and where they had changed the windows. This was for Habitat for Humanity in Hamden Connecticut
