Happy Truck Thursday - find this bandit near an old barn. Banged my knee bad trying to take it but well worth it.
This vintage fire engine hasn't had a call in years, being left to rust and decay away on an abandoned Illinois farm. I've got to think this beauty could be restored and would make a great show or museum piece somewhere...
HTT Everybody! 65° and sunny here in northwestern Illinois today!
Taken last February with a touch of white snow on the ground. This poor bandit flanks and contrasts so nicely with the birch trees also in white.

Another take on the old abandoned IH freight hauler forgotten on an abandoned northern Illinois farm....
I thought it was interesting that there are more guy wires holding up this pole than there are power lines going to houses. I guess this must be a very windy corner and the Power Company is afraid they might lose their pole to high winds. I can’t think why else it would have to be so strongly secured. HTT
I always like this truck but I preferred when it was in the field. It is now hard to get at. It is used mainly to advertise.
Not quite as photogenic here.

One could say this represents the current self-quarantine going one - but is actually a truck stuck in the middle of the back wood of a farm lot.
Happy Truck Thursday!
Something with a bit of fun. I am getting low on good quality truck shots so I will need to step up my game.
Happy Truck Thursday
Once upon a time there was a whole slew of old trucks in this yard. One day some time ago I took some pictures in HDR and now they are all gone.

Just outside of town is this newly abandoned place. I should probably stop for a better shot but it is on a fairly busy road.

One of my old stand by's to go and shoot. I just have to drop in from time to time. Always accessible and a great subject to boot depending on the weather.

Happy Truck Thursday!!
This old beauty was in a used truck sales lot in upper western Iowa.
The White Motor Company was an American automobile and truck manufacturer from 1900 until 1980.
Additional and very interesting historical information about the White Motor Company can be found on Wikipedia.
Taken during our trip to Alaska in 2013. These two eagles sat on on this pole near Bar Harbor Marina in Ketchikan every day we were moored there. The sky was monotone gray so I added a cloud overlay and sepia filter from the old pixlr express. Pixlr express is going away in December, being replaced by pixlr X - which, sadly for me, does not include either of the tools (smoke and too old) that I used here.
Happy Truck Thursday!
Just sitting there basking in the sun but taken at this angle it appears to be headed home...good tires but don't think it moves fast.
Happy Truck Thursday!
Found this old 65 Chevy van among the weeds of Wyoming - love the color combo!
The field around a barn in the small town of Latah, Washington is frequently adorned with old trucks and cars. When we stopped to photograph the scene, a man came out of a nearby house, opened the gate and invited us in to continue shooting. He said he and another neighbor like to display their collection of old vehicles near this barn.
