The Black-tailed Godwit (Limosa limosa) is a large, long-legged, long-billed shorebird first described by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. It is a member of the Limosa genus, the godwits. There are three subspecies, all with orange head, neck and chest in breeding plumage and dull grey-brown winter coloration, and distinctive black and white wingbar at all times.
Its breeding range stretches from Iceland through Europe and areas of central Asia. Black-tailed godwits spend winter in areas as diverse as the Indian Subcontinent, Australia, western Europe and west Africa. The species breeds in fens, lake edges, damp meadows, moorlands and bogs and uses estuaries, swamps and floods in winter; it is more likely to be found inland and on freshwater than the similar Bar-tailed Godwit. The world population is estimated to be 634,000 to 805,000 birds and is classified as Near Threatened due to a decline in numbers of around 25% in the previous 15 years.
Godwits from the Icelandic population winter mainly in the United Kingdom, Ireland, France and the Netherlands, though some fly on to Spain, Portugal and perhaps Morocco. (wikipedia)
The bird depicted is the islandica race of Black-wits that breed in Iceland and winter in Ireland. In 2004, the population size of Icelandic Black-tailed Godwits was estimated to be around 47,000 individuals. Given the continued expansion since then, it is likely that there are now around 50-60,000 Icelandic Godwits. In a site in Cork Harbour called Harper's Island Wetlands, up to 2,000 of these beautiful birds may be found in winter, making this an internationally important wintering site for this species.

Las señales de los últimos días profetizadas por la Biblia han aparecido, el fin de todas las cosas se está acercando
Está escrito en la Biblia: “Y habréis de oír de guerras y rumores de guerras. ¡Cuidado! No os alarméis, porque es necesario que todo esto suceda; pero todavía no es el fin. Porque se levantará nación contra nación, y reino contra reino, y en diferentes lugares habrá hambre y terremotos. Pero todo esto es solo el comienzo de dolores” (Mateo 24:6-8).
“Vi cuando el Cordero abrió el sexto sello, y hubo un gran terremoto, y el sol se puso negro como cilicio hecho de cerda, y toda la luna se volvió como sangre”. (Apocalipsis 6:12).
Dios Todopoderoso dice: “En todas las naciones y lugares del mundo, terremotos, hambrunas, plagas y toda clase de desastres ocurren con frecuencia. Conforme Yo lleve a cabo Mi gran obra en todas las naciones y lugares, estos desastres surgirán con más intensidad que en cualquier otro momento desde la creación del mundo. Este es el principio de Mi juicio de todos los pueblos […]”.
“¡Abre tus ojos y mira, y podrás ver Mi gran poder en todas partes! Puedes estar seguro de Mí en todas partes. El cosmos y el firmamento están difundiendo Mi gran poder. Las palabras que Yo he hablado se han hecho realidad en el calentamiento del clima, en el cambio climático, en las anomalías dentro de las personas, en el desorden de la dinámica social y en el engaño dentro del corazón de las personas. Todos Mis hijos y Mi pueblo esperan ansiosamente Mi regreso, anhelando que Me reúna con ellos, para nunca más volver a separarnos. ¿Cómo podría la multitudinaria población de Mi reino no correr los unos hacia los otros celebrando con júbilo que Yo esté junto a ellos? ¿Puede ser una reunión para la cual no es necesario pagar un precio? Cuando regrese, además, conquistaré a todas las fuerzas enemigas. ¡El momento ha llegado! ¡Pondré Mi obra en marcha, reinaré supremo entre los hombres! ¡Estoy en el punto de retorno! ¡Y estoy a punto de irme! Esto es lo que todos están esperando, lo que están deseando. ¡Permitiré que toda la humanidad contemple la llegada de Mi día y todos le darán la bienvenida al arribo de Mi día con júbilo!”.
Herman@s, ahora los desastres se suceden uno tras otro, las señales de los últimos días en la Biblia han aparecido, esto indica que el fin de todas las cosas se está acercando, y que el Señor ha regresado. Por un lado, la llegada de los desastres nos advierte que nos apresuremos a buscar los pasos de Dios y a recibir Su regreso, por otro lado, es el castigo hacia el hombre de esta época malvada.

It has been an excellent start to the 2016 chase Season. Bonus was, that I had the day off and no commitments except for storm chasing. I was set for an Epic Day!
I ended up with well over 700 pic from this storm chasing event, but I've skimmed it down to about 100+. Truly this will become some of my best photography to date...
Just north of Arapahoe Nebraska, the first non severe cells of the day were putting on a spectacular display. I pulled off to get some incredible Nebraska stormscapes!

Greetings Everyone, I haven't posted many new pics since last chase season and the 2020 is upon us. Looking for our first set of storms in the coming weeks and I'll be streaming live and of course some of the best storm photography one could ask for.
2020 Update...I've been revamping how I do things. One of those things is to go back and correct how I did my post processing of images. Several Years of over Colorizing over Saturation Adding color... etc. Yes I'm guilty of doing so and I have been going back and replacing thousands of images in hundreds of sets over these past few months here on Flickr my Fine Arts America Site.
The May 7, 2016 Colorado Tornado Event was by far one of my favorite chase days to date. I was able to capture the full genesis of a tornado. From birth to death. It was a quest of mine to do this in a photography medium. Epic severe weather structure, like once in a lifetime structure to capture. But post processing was a nightmare. The images came out well ... Defined but over colored over saturated etc.
Instead of replacing the images this will be a whole new set with a few hundred new images that I didn't post on the original set back in 2016. I've thought about re-editing these images for a long time and they are finally done. No Altercations what so ever. No Added Light, Color, Contrast.
I've brought them directly from RAW. Simply the way I should have done it in the first place!
