Tep Pranam, que se pronuncia "Teb Pranomm", se encuentra a sólo 100 metros detrás de la Terraza del Rey Leproso en el aparcamiento principal de Angkor Thom. Tep Pranam hoy es ante todo un lugar de culto budista, pero tiene una importancia histórica o artística menor. Tep Pranam significa "adorar a Dios". Es posible que haya habido un primer monasterio budista de finales del siglo IX en este lugar, construido por el primer rey jemer que residió en Angkor, Yashovarman I.
Una calzada de laterita de 75 metros de largo y 8 metros de ancho construida por el fundador de Angkor Thom, Jayavarman VII, es la principal atracción arquitectónica. Estaba flanqueada por balaustradas Naga, como de costumbre. Los leones guardianes del siglo XIII se encuentran en buen estado.
La estatua de Buda en la plataforma principal es del siglo XVI, cuando Camboya ya era una cultura budista Theravada durante siglos. Es un objeto de culto popular. Buda está representado en el famoso Bhumisparsha Mudra, tocando la tierra con su mano derecha. Indica el momento de su iluminación, ya que se refiere a la diosa de la tierra como testigo de que la malvada Mara no lo tentó a abstenerse de centrar su mente en la salvación. El cuerpo de la estatua se construyó reutilizando bloques de sanstone de monumentos más antiguos. La cabeza es de época posterior. Una cabeza de Buda se mantuvo escondida en un agujero en el pedestal durante la guerra civil y el robo de arte. Un Buda de pie de 4 metros de altura se encuentra bajo un techo de cemento detrás del santuario principal.
Atención: en esta zona suelen esperar los alumnos de una escuela del monasterio cercana. Darán algunas explicaciones a los turistas, pero después pedirán un dólar para cuadernos o bolígrafos.
Tep Pranam debe visitarse por la mañana. El billete no se comprobará aquí, pero es obligatorio para acceder a Angkor Thom.

Tep Pranam, pronounced "Teb Pranomm", is located just 100 metres behind the Terrace of the Leper king at the Angkor Thom main car park. Tep Pranam today is first and formost a Budhhist place of worship, it is of minor historical or artistic significance. Tep Pranam means "worshipping god". There may have been a first Buddhist monastery from the end of the ninth century at this location, built by the first Khmer king residing in Angkor, Yashovarman I.
A 75 metres long and 8 metres wide laterite causeway built by Angkor Thom founder Jayavarman VII is the main architectural attraction. It was flanked by Naga balustrades, as usual. The guardian lions from the 13th century are in a good condition.
The statue of the Buddha on the principal platform is from the 16th century, when Cambodia already had been a Theravada Buddhist culture for centuries. It is a popular object of worship. Buddha is depicted in the famous Bhumisparsha Mudra, touching the earth with his right hand. It indicates the moment of his enlightment, as it refers to the earth goddess as witness that he was not tempted by the wicked Mara to refrain from focussing his mind on salvation. The statue's body was built by re-using sanstone blocks from older monuments. The head is from a later time. A Buddha head was kept hidden in a hole in the pedestal during the times of civil war and art theft. A 4 metres tall standing Buddha is placed under a cement roof behind the main sanctuary.
Be aware: Pupils of a nearby monastery school are often waiting in this area. They will give some explanations to tourists, but will ask for a dollar for exercise books or pens afterwards.
Tep Pranam should be visited in the morning. The ticket will not be checked here, but it is mandatory for access to Angkor Thom.

Daewoongjeon ( The Main Buddha Hall )
Daewoongjeon was rebuilt in 1982. Inside the hall, the Statues of three wooden sitting Buddhas are enshrined (National Treasure, No.1819). In the center is the Sakyamuni Buddha with the Medicine Buddha (Bhaisajyaguru) on his left and the Amitabha Buddha of the Western Pure Land (the Buddha of infinite Light) on his right. Behind the statues of the three Buddhas, there is a beautiful painting portraying the theme of the three Buddhas. Also unique architectural features add dignity to its beauty: the dragon image on the railing of the stairs, which was used exclusively for the palaces of kings. The pillars, stylish window frames, roofs and eaves also show the echo-friendly beauty of traditional wooden buildings of Korea.

Le Pouillot véloce est un tout petit passereau. Il fait 11-12 cm de longueur pour un poids de moins de 10 g en moyenne.
Son plumage brun-verdâtre est fait pour passer inaperçu dans la végétation qu'il ne quitte que rarement. Il passerait volontiers inaperçu sans son cri, un "huit" interrogatif, qu'il débite à tout bout de champ et qui permet de le repérer facilement.

Challenge At Noshinima's Neighborhood: The Photo Studio Of My City Block #NoshsHoodChallenge3
Fashion photography is a big deal in New York City. I knew I had to design a studio deticated to all of our passions. It is the reason why we are on Flickr. ;)
Note: I have also decided to tag the people that were tagged by others after they uploaded their own entries for the challenge. This is to remind you that you have been nominated to take the challenge of doing a shoot at my park by your friends, that have already taken the challenge.

This is the third of my challenges taking place at my brand new, bigger parcel, also named Noshinima's Neighborhood. This setup was a nightmare to work on, and after weeks of work and a lot of lindens spend, I have finally came up with a new challenge for all of you and it is now ready for visitors. This is a new concept I am showcasing on my Flickr, where I challenge 50 great artists to do a photo shoot in the backdrop I created at my home sim.
For the third challenge, I created a large New York style city block, complete with all the different types of retail store outlets you would find at in your typical downtown scroll along downtown. There are clothing stores, supermarkets, pizzerias flower shops and all types of different settings that can be potentially found in just one city block. This also comes with a fairly realistic street view complete with cars and trucks. I am challenging the names tagged in this post to do a shoot within my city block anywhere they like and however they like.
Rules and details:
1) I (Noshinima Midas) tag 50 names of great photographers on Second Life. Said photographers that choose to participate in the challenge can come over to my parcel, Noshinima's Neighborhood (link below) and do an image anywhere in my city. You will be allowed two hours to use any posestands or props that you would like to add and are allowed to bring any friends you want to join you in your shoot. You are also allowed to make the shoot as safe or as adult as you like. The only rule is that you do the shoot within the city block. Take your time to have a look around to see where in the block would make a great place for your image.
2) Upload the finished image onto Flickr and place the hashtag #NoshsHoodChallenge3 on either the title or the description.
3) YOU MUST TAG 10 PEOPLE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE TAKE THIS CHALLENGE ON YOUR UPLOAD OF YOUR SHOOT! NO MORE, NO LESS! I have had several people during previous challenges that have not followed this simple rule so I am making it ALLCAPS to get the point across. Link them to this post and explain the rules to them as well. They must also tag 10 of their friends that they would like to see do this challenge if they themselves choose to participate as well. You must tag people that are actual active photographers on Second Life. Tagging pages dedicated to advertising a store, tagging real life photographers and tagging empty profiles does not count and is against the rules. Also, although you are permitted to do this if you desire, tagging me and tagging yourself will not count towards the number of 10 photographers you are tagging.
