Chapter III: The Saboteur's Plan

When Richard materialized in the bustling streets of New York in the year 2025, he immediately felt a disturbance in the temporal fabric. People were passing by in a hurry, unaware of the imminent danger lurking in the shadows. Following the coordinates provided by the Ministry, Richard and his companion headed towards the vicinity of a nuclear plant. As they approached, they saw a suspicious figure hunched over a device of peculiar appearance typing rapidly on it. With stealth and precision, Richard approached the saboteur, while his pulse throbbed with electric intensity. Suddenly, footsteps were heard resonating beside him, and Agent Pablo Torres emerged from the shadows, his weapon drawn and ready.
"We have you now," proclaimed Pablo with firm and authoritative voice.
The saboteur leaped and started running as Richard and Pablo chased after him. At a certain point, he abruptly stopped and with a cold smile on his face, rummaged in a pocket and pulled out a small device that he activated with a click. With a dazzling flash of light, a temporal distortion opened before him. Before Richard or Pablo could react, the saboteur disappeared into the temporal vortex, leaving the agents astonished and without clues to follow his trail.
Back at the Ministry, Richard and Pablo faced the harsh reality of their failure. The saboteur had escaped, leaving behind more questions than answers. As they discussed what had happened, Richard noticed that Pablo was out of breath, with a hand on his chest.
"Are you okay, Pablo?" asked Richard, concerned.
Pablo nodded with a weak smile. "I don't think I'll be able to join you in the next pursuit," he admitted.
Richard furrowed his brow, visibly worried about his friend's health. Later, after leaving Pablo in the infirmary, Richard reflected with amazement: "It's the first time we've seen interdimensional portals open wherever one desires. This complicates things a lot."
With time running out, they knew they had to redouble their efforts to stop the saboteur's sinister plans and protect the timeline at all costs.

Richard hadn't been able to sleep well since the incident in Paris. Diego's report on Mikko's actions lingered in his mind, filling it with doubts. Did they really know Mikko? The speed and coldness with which he had shot the saboteur seemed unsettling. Lost in his thoughts, Richard tried to piece things together, but he always ended up with more questions than answers.
Almost at dawn, his phone rang, abruptly pulling him out of his reverie. It was one of the technicians from the monitoring room, his voice urgent. "Richard, there's a new disturbance in the timeline. You need to come to the Ministry immediately." Without wasting a second, Richard got ready, knowing that this could be the opportunity he needed to investigate Mikko more thoroughly. He wondered if there was a connection between Mikko and the recent events that seemed to emerge without explanation.
Upon arriving at the Ministry, Richard went straight to the monitoring room, where the screens displayed temporal anomalies at various points in history. While assessing the situation, he couldn't stop thinking about Mikko. Determined, he began to review Mikko's records and history, looking for any clue that could shed light on his true identity and intentions. Deep down, he feared that Mikko might be linked in some way to the temporal disturbances that had started to appear suddenly. The truth, he thought, had to come to light before it was too late

On May 12 it's ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia International Awareness Day.
I am a victim of that illness myself, together with many others here at Flickr.
Therefore we will have the theme "Blue for You - ME 2021", on Saturday May 8, in my group Smile on Saturday! :-).
With this topic I would like to encourage not only the people here who suffer from that disease, but anyone who is in pain, physically or mentally.
And with my picture and the following words, I try to portray and describe what I feel and how I feel.
When pain is always present
Then life is really hard
When fear is never leaving
Then joy is far away
And yet
There is hope
There is love
The small flame of hope
The big flame of love

Quiénes entrarán al reino de Dios: ¿Pueden los que son salvos por la fe entrar en el Reino de Dios?
Algunos cristianos creen que mientras acepten la salvación de la cruz del Señor Jesús, reconozcan verbalmente al Señor y crean en Él en sus corazones, entonces serán salvos y podrán entrar en el reino celestial. También hay una base bíblica para esta creencia, que es: “Que si confiesas con tu boca a Jesús por Señor, y crees en tu corazón que Dios le resucitó de entre los muertos, serás salvo; porque con el corazón se cree para justicia, y con la boca se confiesa para salvación” (Romanos 10:9-10). Por lo tanto, creen aún más firmemente que los que son salvos por la fe pueden entrar en el reino celestial. Pero hay algunos cristianos que permanecen confundidos, y piensan que, al ver que somos capaces de ser impulsivos y de perder la paciencia con la gente todos los días, hasta el punto de que ni siquiera somos capaces de mostrar tolerancia y paciencia a los miembros de nuestra familia, y que somos capaces de decir mentiras para engañar a otros en nuestra vida diaria, ¿pueden entrar en el reino de Dios personas como estas que viven en el pecado? Hablemos hoy sobre este tema.
Como saben todos los que creen sinceramente en el Señor, en nuestra creencia en el Señor debemos basar todo lo que hacemos en las palabras de Dios, porque la Palabra de Dios es el fundamento de nuestra fe en Dios y el parámetro por el cual entraremos en el reino celestial. Entonces, ¿qué dice Dios acerca de que entremos en el reino celestial? El Señor Jesús dijo: “No todo el que me dice: ‘Señor, Señor’, entrará en el reino de los cielos, sino el que hace la voluntad de mi Padre que está en los cielos” (Mateo 7:21). “[...] En verdad, en verdad os digo que todo el que comete pecado es esclavo del pecado; y el esclavo no queda en la casa para siempre; el hijo sí permanece para siempre” (Juan 8:34-35). “[...] seréis, pues, santos porque yo soy santo” (Levítico 11:45). De acuerdo con las palabras de Dios, podemos constatar que aquellos que cometen pecados con frecuencia cada día, no pueden entrar en el reino de Dios, sino aquellos que se purifican. Debido a que Dios es santo, absolutamente ningún pecador puede entrar en Su reino, y esto se decide por el carácter justo de Dios. Por lo tanto, podemos reflexionar sobre nosotros mismos para ver si cumplimos o no con los criterios para entrar en el reino celestial.
