Napels, Parco della Tomba di Virgilio.
Gang van het Romeinse Aquaduct van Serino.
Op dit punt sneed het aquaduct met zijn voornaamste tak de helling van de heuvel, terwijl die met zijn galerij de Crypta Neapolitana omsloot. De waterleiding, gedeeltelijk toegankelijk door een aardverschuiving is geheel uit de tufsteen gegraven en loopt circa 50 cm boven het originele straatniveau. Goed geconserveerd, nu van binnen nog over een korte afstand beloopbaar, valt de bekleding van de wanden met gemalen potscherven op, in de oudheid gewoonlijk gebruikt om de oppervlakten die in contact kwamen met het water, ondoordringbaar te maken. De waterleiding is in dezelfde tijd (of iets later) gemaakt als de opening van de Crypta. Het monumentale aquaduct (ongeveer 96 km lang) werd inderdaad ontworpen en gemaakt in de Augusteïsche tijd, in het kader van een geweldig programma van watervoorziening, vooral bedoeld om te voorzien in de groeiende eisen van de commerciële haven van Puteoli en in die van de vloot van Misenum, door Augustus persoonlijk opgericht.
De lijst van centra bediend door het aquaduct, is bekend door een inscriptie uit de tijd van Constantijn, ontdekt bij de bron van het water. Uit een kunstmatig bassin gevoed door bronnen van de hoogvlakte van Serino vertakken zich twee waterleidingen: de ene naar Beneventum, de andere, daarentegen, in de richting van Napels. In Napels volgde het trace hellingen van de heuvels van Capodimonte, van de Scudillo en de Vomero totdat het bij de Crypta Neapolitana kwam. Daar maakte zich een vertakking los ten dienste van de keizerlijk villa van Pausilypon, bewezen door een graffito uit 65 n.C., terugevonden gedurende de bouw van de Galleria Laziale. De hoofdader ging verder, dwars door Fuorigrotta en Bagnoli, tot aan Puteoli, de omgeving van de Thermen van de Via Terracina passerend; een tweede tak voedde de thermen van Agnano. In Puteoli liep het aquaduct in het hoge deel van de stad, terwijl hij de bassins van Carditus en Luscianus vulde, vervolgde langs de Starza, daarna naar het Avernische meer (waar een tak zorgde voor de voorziening van Cumae) en eindigde in de Piscina Mirabilis, boven de haven van Misenum.
Belangrijke restauraties zouden hebben plaatsgevonden in de Flavische tijd, toen hele stukken vervangen werden door andere parallelle (gemaakt om misschien in relatie met de schade opgelopen door seismische gebeurtenissen van 62 n.C., door de uitbarsting van 79 n.C. of door aardverschuivingen); en ook onder Constantijn, in 324, toen alleen de hoofdader, tot aan Napels, gereconstrueerd werd over een lengte van circa 11.800 m.
Over een deel van zijn loop, vooral in de gebieden extra moenia, liep het aquaduct niet in een gesloten galerij, maar in de open lucht, met karakteristieke arcadebogen in opus latericium, waarvan een stuk over is in Napels, in het gebied van de Ponti Rossi.
Als men doorgaat met de trap te beklimmen, die men aan de linkerkant ziet met een panorama over de golf van Napels, komt men bij de zogenaamde Tombe van Vergilius.

43% liked the outfit with black heels.. but more importantly: 57% preferred the red heels. Can't say I was surprised but I still love the black heels myself. It just makes my legs look soooo long!!

I'm enjoying my autumn holiday now (one of the few perks I have as a teacher). And besides doing a lot of resting.. I have also been doing lots of editing of my photos and videos.
In August, I visited a castle in the south of the Netherlands. And because we had a very disappointing cold wet summer, I opted for a maxi dress.

Apollo 7, which launched on Oct. 11, 1968, and was nicknamed "The Walt, Wally and Donn Show," was the first crewed Apollo mission to launch. The mission demonstrated the capabilities of the Command and Service Module, mission support facilities' performance during a crewed mission and Apollo rendezvous capability, as well as the first live TV broadcasts from space.

Esta es la diferencia fundamental entre Noé y las personas actuales, y es también la verdadera definición de lo que es un hombre perfecto a ojos de Dios. Él quiere personas como Noé. Ya que estamos buscando las huellas de Dios,
debemos buscar la voluntad de Dios,
buscar Sus palabras y Sus declaraciones,

ahí está Su voz, la voz de Dios.

Mientras buscabais Sus huellas,
ignorasteis las palabras “Dios es la verdad, el camino y la vida”.

y mucho menos reconocen la aparición de Dios.
¡Qué grave error es este!
Su aparición no se puede reconciliar con las concepciones del hombre,
y mucho menos aparecer por orden del hombre.
Cuando hace Su obra, Él toma Sus decisiones,
toma Sus decisiones y hace Sus propios planes;
además, Él tiene Sus propios objetivos,
Sus propios métodos, Sus propios métodos.
No es necesario que discuta con los hombres cuando Él hace Su obra,
que busque el consejo del hombre,
y mucho menos notificar a todo el mundo.
Ese es el carácter de Dios, todos lo deben de reconocer.
III
Si queréis ser testigos de la aparición de Dios,
si queréis seguir las huellas de Dios,
entonces debéis primero trascender vuestras opiniones.
No debéis demandar que Dios haga esto o aquello,
mucho menos debéis situarlo dentro de vuestros confines,
o limitarlo a vuestras opiniones.
En cambio, debéis preguntar
cómo debéis buscar las huellas de Dios,
y aceptar Su aparición,
y cómo os debéis someter a la nueva obra de Dios.
Eso es lo que el hombre debe hacer,
lo que el hombre debe hacer.
Ya que el hombre no es la verdad,
no está en posesión, en posesión de la verdad,
el hombre debe buscar, aceptar y obedecer.

Another Epic Chase day in Nebraska....
Along with fellow chaser Myles Nelson, we had a small jaunt from Kearney out to the western skies of Nebraska. We met up with fellow chaser Aaron Edwards just to the south of the Sutherland Power-plant to set up shot a few hours before all the action began. We were waiting for the first cells to produce by Grant and Hershy Nebraska. They did form and the Grant Supercell was producing but it was traveling close to 60+ knots to the due north. Even if we wanted to catch this cell it was moving way to fast. So after a short broadcast out to Kent Boughton ABC NTV Affiliate. We packed up gear and started to head to the southeast towards Stockville Nebraska.
Tornado had already pushed through the McCook Nebraska area and we were in range to intercept. Though on way there, just on the outside of Stockville, we had to punch through a nasty hail core. We originally though we hit a deer or something else but once we got to the eastern edge of Stockville, we noticed we had a large pheasant buried into my front grill. I didn't know the extent of damage till we got back to Kearney that evening. That being said, we had the rotating supercell coming in from the southwest and were were planning on punching the core again. When fellow chaser Chuck Patient met up with us he had 2 inch diameter hail stones that they had just went through we had decided not to. It was a wise decision, and we eventually headed east.
Now I usually don't do country roads anymore due to the fact... If we get stuck we would be there for a long time and I didn't want to miss out on this event. But we did it anyway.... and just a few miles to the east of Stockville we headed north. It was a good decision due to being on the southeast side of this cell, we were in perfect position to intercept and we did. Far enough away from the RFD we had a perfect view of the Stockville / Farnam Torando from its birth.... Though we had to avoid other chasers, we successfully navigated to a good place for some excellent footage. Probably the best footage I've caught since the 2017 Tornado outbreak in Cheyenne Wyoming.
We got a little close... actually we had to get under and in front of it again. Yes a little dangerous but again I've been doing this a LONG time and I don't take risks that will get us killed. We had finally got back to a point in front of the rotating base just north of Farnam and where heading for the next intercept in Cozad Nebraska.
I-80 Eastbound we had to punch through the core again and we got lucky. Minutes before this cell produced another tornado we got just to the east of Cozad Nebraska to catch the funnel to the east of town. Not wanting to punch the core again... and only about a 1/2 hour of light left. We decided that we had caught what we wanted that day and head back to Kearney.
Though this cell was still raging late into the night. It had produced another tornado by the Oconto Nebraska area. Even if we wanted to chase this there wasn't adequate roadways to travel north and we would have never caught up to it again. To say the least, it was another epic storm chasing day in Nebraska.
Final note on these storms... that NWS had the Stockville/Farnam Tornado rated at a EF-1. That is how I have it listed in the VIDEO. Though reports last night confirmed it was and EF-3 with sufficient damage to property.

Hermanos y hermanas, creo que cada uno de nosotros que creemos en Dios quiere recibir el elogio de Dios y la vida eterna, entonces, ¿dónde y cómo está el camino de la vida eterna? Dios dice: “El Cristo de los últimos días trae la vida y trae el camino de la verdad, duradero y eterno. Esta verdad es el camino por el que el hombre obtendrá la vida, y el único camino por el cual el hombre conocerá a Dios y por el que Dios lo aprobará. Si no buscas el camino de la vida que el Cristo de los últimos días provee, entonces nunca obtendrás la aprobación de Jesús y nunca estarás cualificado para entrar por la puerta del reino de los cielos, porque tú eres tanto un títere como un prisionero de la historia. Aquellos que son controlados por los reglamentos, las letras y están encadenados por la historia, nunca podrán obtener la vida y nunca podrán obtener el camino perpetuo de la vida. Esto es porque todo lo que tienen es agua turbia que ha estado estancada por miles de años en vez del agua de vida que fluye desde el trono. Almighty God says, "The incarnate God is called Christ, and Christ is the flesh donned by the Spirit of God. This flesh is unlike any man that is of the flesh. This difference is because Christ is not of flesh and blood but is the incarnation of the Spirit. He has both a normal humanity and a complete divinity. His divinity is not possessed by any man. His normal humanity sustains all His normal activities in the flesh, while His divinity carries out the work of God Himself. Be it His humanity or divinity, both submit to the will of the heavenly Father. The substance of Christ is the Spirit, that is, the divinity. Therefore, His substance is that of God Himself; this substance will not interrupt His own work, and He could not possibly do anything that destroys His own work, nor would He ever utter any words that go against His own will. Therefore, the incarnate God would absolutely never do any work that interrupts His own management. This is what all man should understand. The essence of the work of the Holy Spirit is to save man and is for the sake of God’s own management. Similarly, the work of Christ is to save man and is for the sake of God’s will. Given that God becomes flesh, He realizes His substance within His flesh, such that His flesh is sufficient to undertake His work. Therefore, all the work of God’s Spirit is replaced by the work of Christ during the time of incarnation, and at the core of all work throughout the time of incarnation is the work of Christ. It cannot be commingled with work from any other age. And since God becomes flesh, He works in the identity of His flesh; since He comes in the flesh, He then finishes in the flesh the work that He ought to do. Be it the Spirit of God or be it Christ, both are God Himself, and He does the work that He ought to do and performs the ministry that He ought to perform." Si no lo podemos recibir, ¿no caeremos en el desastre?” De hecho, no hemos recibido a Él no representa que Él no ha venido. Porque el Señor Jesús dijo: “He aquí, vengo como ladrón […]” (Apocalipsis 16:15). “Por eso, también vosotros estad preparados, porque a la hora que no pensáis vendrá el Hijo del Hombre” (Mateo 24:44). Aquí mencionan “como ladrón” y “la hora que no pensáis”, y estas palabras significan que el Señor venga otra vez de manera secreta, en el momento que no vemos a Él descender en una nube, Él ha descendido silenciosamente entre nosotros. Por lo tanto, es incorrecto que juzguemos si el Señor ha regresado o no de acuerdo con si lo hemos visto descender sobre nubes con nuestros propios ojos. Solo buscando activamente la obra del Señor durante Su descenso secreto, podremos darle la bienvenida.

Hace algún tiempo, debido a que no entendía el principio detrás de la revisión que la iglesia hace del personal, cuando la iglesia reemplazaba a un líder, dentro de mí surgía una noción. De lo que podía ver, la hermana que fue reemplazada era muy buena tanto para recibir como para compartir la verdad, y podía estar abierta acerca de sus propias expresiones de corrupción. Así que nunca podía comprender cómo alguien que buscaba tanto la verdad podía ser reemplazada. ¿Podía ser que ella hablaba demasiado de sus propias expresiones de corrupción y así su líder erróneamente la tomó como alguien que no está en busca de la verdad y la reemplazó? Si esto es realmente lo que pasó, entonces, ¿no se había arruinado una oportunidad de entrenamiento para alguien que estaba buscando la verdad?
Justo cuando me sentía muy perpleja acerca de esto, leí este pasaje en un arreglo de la obra publicado por la iglesia: “La familia de Dios decide entrenar y usar a las personas de acuerdo con su esencia. Si la esencia de alguien es una que busca la verdad, entonces la familia de Dios para nada renunciará a ellos; si alguien está dispuesto a buscar la verdad, entonces sin duda experimentará un cambio. Si la esencia de alguien es una que no busca la verdad, es negligente de sus deberes y no camina por el camino correcto, entonces no vale la pena entrenarlos ni tampoco Dios puede perfeccionar a esta clase de personas. Para alguien a quien Dios no está dispuesto a perfeccionar, la familia de Dios tampoco los puede entrenar. […] Por lo que el manejo de las personas se debe abordar de acuerdo con las exigencias de la obra de Dios y la esencia de las personas. Sólo esta es una manera efectiva de obrar en colaboración con Dios y verdaderamente servir a Dios. Si esta manera efectiva de trabajar en colaboración con Dios no se emplea, entonces la obra de Dios se interrumpe y la voluntad de Dios es completamente contravenida” (‘Compartiendo algunas preguntas’ en “Anales de la comunión y arreglos de la obra”). Tratando una y otra vez de descifrar estas palabras, entendí que había un principio trabajando si la iglesia estaba promoviendo a alguien o reemplazándolos. Entendí que se estaba abordando de acuerdo con las exigencias de la obra de Dios y la esencia de las personas, y no haciendo un uso a ciegas de o reemplazando a las personas a voluntad. Además, la iglesia no reemplaza a las personas sobre la base de que hayan expresado alguna corrupción, sino que determina las cosas sobre la base de su esencia. Si la esencia de una persona es una que busca la verdad, entonces la iglesia para nada renunciaría a ellas, para nada descuidaría o arruinaría a alguien que está buscando la verdad. Así que fui delante de Dios para orar y buscar guía: “¡Oh Dios! Sé que Satanás me ha corrompido muy profundamente, y que no tengo ningún entendimiento de Tu obra, con muchas nociones dentro de mí y muchos puntos de vista que nunca pueden ser compatibles contigo. Hoy, bajo Tu guía, ahora sé que al seleccionar, entrenar o reemplazar a las personas, la iglesia todo lo aborda de acuerdo con las exigencias de Tu obra y la esencia de las personas. Pero todavía no entiendo por completo la esencia de la hermana que fue reemplazada, con el resultado de que tengo una opinión sobre el arreglo de la iglesia. Te pido que me orientes y me guíes; permíteme ver con claridad para que, en mi obra de ahora en adelante, no pueda interrumpir Tu obra por mi desviación y mis errores”.

Chinese name: 盧廉若公園
Location: Estrada de Adolfo Loureiro, in northern Macau Peninsular, Macau.
Located in the middle of Macau Peninsular at the northern foot of Guia Hill, Lou Lim Ieoc Garden (in Portuguese: Jardim Lou Lim Ieoc) covers an area of 1.78 hectares with scenic landscapes. This elegant garden was modeled after Suzhou Lion Grove Garden, one of the four most famous classic gardens in Suzhou, being the only one with Suzhou classical garden style in Macau. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was once named "Entertainment Garden" and hailed as one of three famous gardens of Macau many years ago. And in 1992, it was rated as one of Macau’s eights sights. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden is a great place for sightseeing as it has quaint moon gate, shady walkways, grotesque rocks of man-made hills, bamboo groves, towering banyan tress, winding corridors, elegant pavilions, spattering waterfalls, ponds with green lotus, etc. The waterside pavilion is the centerpiece of Lou Lim leoc Garden. Despite it is a traditional Chinese architecture, some western architectural elements are embedded in, such as the external wall painted in light yellow, the favorite color of Portuguese, gothic porticoes, white European-style carvings at the top of porticoes. The barrier close to the pond is painted red, China’s favorite color. This building reflects the fusion of oriental and western cultures.
It was initially a vegetable plot and was purchased by a Macau Turpan, whose son Lou Lim leoc spent a large sum of money to convert it into a private garden. Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was the largest private garden in Macau. The construction started 1904 and took 21 years to finish. The garden was changed hand due to the Lu family’s bankruptcy, until it was purchased by Macau government in 1970s. After renovation it was opened to the public in 1974. At the turn of 21st century, Lou Lim Ieoc Garden was famed as the show place of Cantonese opera. Sun Yat-sen, the forerunner of Chinese democratic revolution, once stayed in this garden to meet celebrities of China, Macau and Portugal, and revolutionists.

In contrast, watch, from the comfort and choice of ten lookout hides, internationally important numbers of ducks, geese and swans gathering in winter to form spectacular feeding flocks on seasonally flooded wetlands which enjoy SSSI (Site of Scientific Interest)/SPA (Special Protection Area) and Ramsar status.
With a diversity of waterfowl exhibits and an adventure playground for children to enjoy, Martin Mere is a first class, year-round, wetland wildlife attraction for families, couples, teenagers and the retired.

There is also an in focus optics shop at the centre selling everything you will ever need to watch wildlife – from budget binoculars starting at around £15 to deluxe telescopes at over £1000. in focus is the ideal place to get honest, friendly advice about buying your first pair of binoculars.
Visitors are asked to respect the habitats and wildlife of Martin Mere Wetland Centre by keeping to the paths at all times and not causing undue noise. It is especially important to remain quiet in the bird viewing hides.
Photography is permitted on site providing it is for personal use only. All commercial/stock library photography must be agreed in advance with the centre and a photography permission form must be completed prior to the visit. Email: info.martinmere@wwt.org.uk to request the form.
No dogs are permitted on site, other than trained assistance dogs (i.e. Guide Dogs
