Pine Hollow Trail to Ridge Trail; American Fork Canyon, Utah; May 2018
Snow and mud are turning to dirt and loose rock. It's getting easier to get up high again and the aspens have their leaves up to 8000 feet. It's almost summer.

A small section of the Dark Hollow Falls in Shenandoah National Park. The fall foliage was at its peak, making for a surreal setting of astonishing beauty. I never wanted to leave!
CSX B708 rides through the high corn and over Possum Hollow Road as it brings its train from Hagerstown, MD to Shippensburg, PA. Running as KH00 on Norfolk Southern tracks, the train is heading for the eastern portion of the CSX Lurgan Subdivision to make a drop of covered hoppers and storage cars for the Pennsylvania and Southern Railway at Letterkenny.

Notes: generous overexposure of 3-4 stops at least, followed by relatively short development time (for Lith).

All that remains of a Common Puffball after the slugs & other leaf litter creatures had had their fill.

Even though the water levels were rather low on my visit to Log Hollow Falls, I still found a very nice setting. The amount of fresh leaves down in and around the water and the falls was quite a sight and definitely made for a nice mood. :) -H3
I decided to build Hollow Knight but in more futuristic style.

I have been told that this road will be closed during the foliage season this year. I happened to pass there a couple of weeks ago and no one was there.
RJ Corman 1940 trundles into the Knobs State Forest near Clermont, KY with the "My Old Kentucky Dinner Train". The late morning lunch train is passing over Vaughn Road and will duck into the woods before emerging at the Jim Beam distillery down the line.
How I love smudgy trees. I'm really pleased with how this one has come out.
It was pouring with rain when I took the (three) shots I've used to compile this image. The rain drops on the lens add to the distortion. Thankfully the Fuji still works...

Halloween on St Mary's Isle, Kirkcudbright. Just after sunset, the temperatures start to drop and the mist starts to rise around this spooky tree.

A view of the Sleepy Hollow Lighthouse surrounded by ice on the Hudson River. The lighthouse sits north of the Tappen Zee Bridge about 15 miles north of Manhattan, NYC.
This is the 'Fred Hollows' ferry, a Sydney Ferries catamaran, built by 'Incat' in Hobart, Tasmania.
It is arriving at the McMahon's Point Wharf, on Lavender Bay (Sydney harbour).
Photographed near sunset with my Canon EOS 5D Mk IV, with the Canon 24-105mm lens.
This ferry is dedicated to the memory of Fred Hollows who was a gifted ophthalmologist. He was born in New Zealand but, after studying in the UK, came to Australia where he was named 'Australian of the Year' in 1990.
He was committed to restoring the sight of people in Australia, Nepal, Eritrea (in Africa) and Vietnam, et.al., most especially the disadvantaged and/or indigenous people of those countries. He gave up so much of his time and money to help people gain or re-gain their sight.
Interestingly he was a member of the Communist Party in the 1950s. He sadly died at the age of only 63, in 1993, of renal cancer.
For all the information about Fred Hollows, see:
One of the final bosses from Team Cherrys "Hollow Knight" video game. I posed this thing based one the sprites that plays during the characters attack animation.
Wasnt happy with the previous version of this so have consigned it to history, I usually just process in lightroom, but a barn in the distance was too much of a distraction so have given it the heave ho in photoshop. This is different composition with the scarecrow on the left which works better too I think.

Took some photos of Ares for my friend, Kass. :3
Tidbit about Ares. He looks like he gets into a lot of fights, he looks like trouble.
Actually, he's the embodiment of "Courage." And as my character, he got all the scars stopping fights. Never starting them. :3
He's a peacemaker.
