Thick moss growing on the rocks by a spring-fed waterfall in the aptly-named Slippery Hollow, in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas.
God's rays found us as we hiked through Bear Hollow in the Rocky Hollow/Falls Canyon Nature Preserve near Turkey Run State Park, Marshall, IN, August, 2025.
Dark Hollow Falls - Shenandoah National Park, VA
Amazing how 6+ inches of rain in 48 hours transformed Dark Hollow Falls into raging whitewater energy.

“We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
Or rats’ feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar“
T.S. Eliot, The Hollow Men

Not too many years ago a large bushfire burned through this region of the Central Highlands. It's amazing how quickly the forest regenerates though.
One more step and I could fall away
If it happened would it matter?
And I can't tell if I should go or stay
Same old picture feel so hollow
How can anybody know what's best for me?
Another page I turn in shame
And my decisions brought me to my knees
I needed someone to blame
I feel so hollow
I feel so hollow
Time to do what's best for me I believe I can change
Once upon a time in broken dreams
Reflection's that I can't face
So hold your breath and make a wish for me
Take me to a better place
Time always seems to be passing by
It never waits for me
If I could do it all one more time
I wouldn't change a thing
I feel so hollow (feel so hollow)

As a photographer, a common theme I like to find is minimal geometry and patterns in nature or man-made objects.
This photo represents geometrical patterns and shapes created by the architecture and reflection of the Prudential Plaza in Jacksonville, FL. I walk past this building so many times, but one day managed to stand underneath it, and discovered this magic.
The architect is KBJ Architects from Jacksonville, FL, a firm responsible for shaping the incoming Jacksonville skyline we have today.
Please let me know if you have any thoughts or comments on how I can improve this.
If you are interested in more architectural abstraction, please check out my [Abstract Photography Album]
Thanks for your time!
Evening light hitting the trees above Broadwater Hollow, which is part of the Buffalo National River in the Ozark Mountains.
The rock isn't quite so hollow right now. Lake Superior is still open even after the deep freeze we had.
Our view of the Pacific Ocean from Beards Hollow Overlook. A bluff north of North Head Light House at Cape Disappointment. This view point is overlooking Beards Hollow south of Seaview.
History note: Captain Lewis & Clark reached the Pacific Ocean near modern-day Seaview, Washington, November 15, 1805.
It's a simple view of pure nature landscaped with beautiful evergreen trees, a beach shore when tide is out is reachable by foot or vehicle. Today, it was 115f in town, here 66f key weather with low cloud marine haze over the ocean...it was the perfect day to cool off.
Thank you all for your kind visits much appreciated..have a wonderful day. I'm so excited to finding this made Explore #220, July 23rd ~ thank you so much!!
The Hollow Forest is a great place for pics. Have fun everyone, but don't forget the Templum! I'll be posting more pics from that pool soon.

There are many items created by people we know and others we don't here. It's fab. SPECIAL special thanks to Amellier Spitteler for allowing us to visit this pretty place.

Taken with Cosina Hi-Lite DLR, Cosinon Aouto 50mm f1.8 and Ilford Delta 100, developed in Fomadon R09 1:50
Sleepy Hollow Light, is a sparkplug lighthouse on the east side of the Hudson River in Sleepy Hollow, New York, United States. It a conical steel structure erected in the 1880s
This is Smokey Hollow Falls in Waterdown (Hamilton), Ontario, Canada. I put an emphasis on 'hollow' because when frozen, you can crawl right behind and see all the ice with the sunlight glaring through. The deeper you crawl in, the nicer it looks

Built in 1904 this abandoned schoolhouse is located in a field near The Dalles on Japanese Hollow Road. Back then there was a group of Japanese immigrants who lived on the roads end, thus, how it got it's name. Also known as Eightmile Schoolhouse.
