This photograph was taken around 4:45 AM, few hrs before the sunrise at Hollow Rocks - an iconic landmark of North Shore MN. This pretty island of Lake Superior is located 3 miles south of Grand Portage and 28 miles north of Grand Maris. The sunrise position gets very close the the hollow during winter. I am excited to visit again in winter.

This guy was sitting by the lake and sharing his snack with the fish and I asked him whether I could take a photo of him after putting some money in his hand.
After post, I was wondering what I'd title this, but couldn't read anything in his expression - at least in my eyes. It was then I thought it's possible that he's been on the street long enough to experience another side of life - that he's looking right though me - the emptiness of it all.
I hiked over to Hollow Brook Falls this afternoon. We've been having a lot of rain this spring and I wanted to shoot the waterfall with a higher than normal water flow. Because of all the rain there were lots of sticks stuck in the waterfall so I got a little wet clearing sticks:) It was a fun way to spend part of the afternoon. Have a great Memorial Weekend!
Thunderstorms raging over Sand Hollow Reservoir. A bit of sunlight sneaking through at sunset. The wind nearly blew my camera drone away, but getting this shot was worth it.
we're creeping up on the time of Halloween in the time of corona, so i thought i'd share this. anyone want to hazard a guess on what this might be? the magnifying glass option gives you even more detail.

Recent rains turned this Ohio River tributary into a wonderland with its ten waterfalls. Located at Levanna, Ohio. This awesome preserve is owned by the Cardinal Land Trust of Milford, Ohio.
In Bearcat Hollow just north of the Richland Creek Campground in the Richland Creek Wilderness.
Look closely and you can see a fellow hiker in the shadow of the overhang behind the falls.

When thinking of Sleep Hollow many people think about the 1999 movie of the same name which showed it a land of large crooked old trees and perpetually immersed in fog which was filmed in England. If you actually go there you will find a very average unassuming rural like suburban town which is being gentrified with luxury townhouse condos being built alone picturesque waterfront and not a demonized Christopher Walken chopping off heads.
Thick moss growing on the rocks by a spring-fed waterfall in the aptly-named Slippery Hollow, in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas.

It is told that deep in the Enchanted Forest past the grove of Weeping Wyvern, lies a stone hollow. Stone piles of enormous proportion, so ancient that trees and moss grow upon them, stand around a crystal clear pool. Should you return to the hollow after a full moon, the piles will have shifted their place.
Only one such entity has left Stone-Hollow.

The 21 foot tall Broadwater Hollow Falls (they look much taller in person), which are located within the boundaries of the Buffalo National River.
We visited Dolliver Memorial State Park for the wooded areas and the spring wildflowers. But the limestone bluffs, different than flat cropland, former prairie areas, makes the visit worthwhile too. This pretty area was named Boneyard Hollow by early settlers because of a large number of bison bones found here years ago. Just a short distance downstream this little creek empties into the Des Moines River.
Goode Hollow Christmas has been made possible this year because of 4 young peoples love and respect for the community. For the past 3 years they have handed out treats and small gifts to the young and old alike thanks to Santa, Mrs. Claus and their Helpers. Their greatest joy are the smiles that they bring to peoples faces. All gifts are purchesed by themseves or with the assistance of family members. Without these caring ang giving 4 people The Goode Hollow Christmas would not be. At this time they are already planning for next years ride
