So happy with this photos done at 3km from my home.

10 years that I havent seen a fox here.

But the photo was done from far away (+/-75m) so this is a full cropped view of the center of the image.

I could only do one photo and he ran away.

I Havent been out much so i reworked this older image in photoshop (sorry to the haters) a few different exposures blended together to create the illusion of the moon rising at Narrabeen.

A very tiny (7-9 inches) owl that I havent seen for years. Tucked in the branches and hard to get a bit of open area but very thrilling to see.

5 years that I havent seen one at the lake near my home, I had to go far away to see some of them. But saddly the weather is bad again so I had to do photos in medium weather conditions (sun low over the horizon, a lot of clouds ...)

Havent seen this one before! He was hanging with a flock of willets (also a new bird for me) up near Payson AZ

This is National Tree Week here in Ireland {5th of March onwards} where we celebrate

our trees. We havent got many but thankfully since 2000 they have started planting more of our native hardwood species and less of those horrid Norway Spruce that block out light from the forest floor and prevent all the wonderful undergrowth, fungii and wild flowers from growing. Of course they are a commercial crop and vital for the economy. Indeed, Coilte, the forestry people here do great work as they allow access through there land and plantations to access the trails and mountain tracks which I love so much.

I dont think theres is anything more wonderful than Oak trees.

This tree which is an Irish Oak [Quercus Petraea] is reckoned to be over 400 years old and is growing in the Powerscourt Valley, near the waterfall here in Co. Wicklow. The ground and the humidity seems to suit them better than the more common English Oak [Quercus Robur] which are also magnificent trees.

I would really love to see more of your tree photos here on Flickr as the truly are such beautiful things.

Sorri havent been on much folks trying to sort it soon! Spent about 3 hours down Southerndown beach waiting for these clouds to disappear so I could get a clear shot of the milkyway, you can see the top of the milkyway here but not all of it. But sometimes you just have to use what you have available :) Although i did try again the other night and was met with a serious amount of sea fog when i got down there not much you can do with that haha!

Not had time to look at many images from this shoot but will be getting through the rest of them soon, I still have all the skomer pictures of puffins to get through too. Oh well hope I have some more time soon! :)

After a long walk through finaly reach the lake.Not sure or someone or something is inside cause havent seen people in ages!

So that though one eyed, he could see more than can be seen.

Sorry i havent been around as I used to in Flickr, but work load is now heavier than it used to be. Hope to be back 100% soon. Love you my dear flickr friends.

I havent put out any new sl pictures in awhile. Ive been wanting to play with photoshop for the past few weeks and today I sat down and edited an old picture. I have a whole drive full of unedited pictures that no one has ever seen but me.. I may start sharing them. I also may start just taking sl time for me and start photography again as a hobby, something to do in my down time.

Had a lot of bad things happen lately, and havent taken many pictures, but im starting to a lot more now. My dad got in a car accident on the freeway, and was in the hospital for a while, and he was not able to work for a long time, and because of that, we might have to sell our house now that we cant pay the house payments, and because of this dad went off and attempted suicide. He was in the hospital for a week, and is now home safe, though very depressed. I guess for me this picture represents a new beginning in a new home.

Dang, I havent taken pictures in days.

Update 9/1/ 17

You will notice that I havent written my usual stuff with this photo. I think its beyond that for me. You would have to go up there and seen it happening to comprehend what it does to your senses. { Er....I changed my mind...again!!! }

I took this photo at dawn from the side of Tonalgee { " Ass to the wind" } Mountain at 600m. A wild, boggy and isolated place but with its own unique beauty which draws some of us crazy people like a magnet!

I think the shape of the light flaring out from the sun behind the ridge line which was changing by the second, is something to behold. I did wonder, as I looked at it if there was a place between the light and the dark where you could stand and. what would it do to your mind.

Then I realised I was standing, up to my knees in freezing bog water and I could hear the red grouse calling out to one another in the darkness and probably saying " Whose yer man with the camera. Bejaysus wouldnt you imagine he`d get sense and go home! { They were Irish red grouses obviously! Lol! } Anyway, I ended up breaking into a fit of laughter at the thought of it so the moment was gone and I got quickly out of there.

Im very pleased with it as I think its very different but my honest friends on Flickr have ways of letting me know whether they like it like I do! Pat.

UPDATE 1/1 2017

AS it is New Year, I just wanted to remember our two good friends that we lost during 2017. Firstly my good friend, the Birdman, Steve-h from Dublin who took such amazing bird studies in St Stephens Green. A master and a true gentlemen who still inspires me and I keep all his wonderful stories with me always! Heres to you Steve!

And secondly but by no means in that order, our larger than life friend Richard Gregory. A wonderful photographer wth a zany sense of humor who took the P out of me constantly and me out of him. How many people can you actually do that with without causing offence? Very few and only those that you truly like and admire. Gone but not forgotten "and no I dont want to hear your latest Irish joke, Richard!! Oh! ok then, seeing as its yerself but Ill get you later!!! "

Im not a fan. Infact I havent been happy with a photo since day 122.

I hardly ever like my photos but these days I mainly hate them. Its not because of 365, I uploaded photos I didnt like before that but Im just getting sick of trying to avoid looking at my own pictures. Maybe i'll start taking better ones this week, its my half term. I'll try.

buuuut on the upside I do like my autumn crown/tiara, thats a good thing at least :D

I havent posted a houseplant photo in forever. Today my number is 4. My oldest started 4th grade this morning and my littlest turned 4 this morning too. It just so happened that I am growing a 4 leaved false shamrock too. Hope everyone has a great Thursday, ill catch up with everyone this evening!
